Understand how Hyperscale's credit system works and what you pay for.
What Are Credits?
Credits are Hyperscale's currency for lead enrichment. You use credits to:
Find and verify email addresses
Enrich LinkedIn profiles
Find phone numbers
Process CSV uploads
Key Principle: You only pay for leads with verified emails. Unlike other tools, failed enrichments are automatically refunded.
Credit Costs
Lead Enrichment
Credits per lead with verified email
Includes:
β LinkedIn profile data
β Verified business email address
β Current job title and company
β Company details (website, industry, size)
β Location information
You are NOT charged for:
β Leads where no email was found
β Leads that failed verification
β Duplicate leads (we have an automatic deduplication process)
Phone Number Enrichment
Additional credits per lead (optional, in addition to base cost)
Includes:
β Direct dial phone numbers
β Mobile phone numbers (when available)
Phone enrichment costs more than email-only enrichment. Check your subscription page for current pricing.
CSV Enrichment
Same pricing as regular searches:
Credits per successfully enriched contact
Additional credits for phone numbers (if enabled)
Automatic refunds for failed enrichments
How Billing Works
1. Upfront Charge
When you start a search, Hyperscale charges estimated credits upfront based on the number of leads you requested.
Example:
Request 100 leads
Estimated charge: 100 leads Γ X credits per lead
2. Automatic Refunds
After enrichment completes, you're refunded for any leads that failed to verify.
Example continued:
85 leads successfully verified
15 leads failed to find email
Refund: 15 failed leads refunded
Final cost: Only charged for 85 verified leads
3. Phone Number Billing
If you enable phone enrichment, the same upfront + refund model applies.
Example with phones:
Request 100 leads with phone enrichment
Upfront charge: 100 leads Γ (email + phone cost)
Results: 85 emails found, 70 phones found
Refund: Credits refunded for failed emails and missing phones
Final cost: Only pay for successfully enriched data (85 emails + 70 phones)

Your credit balance is always visible in the sidebar:
Starter/Pro/Growth Plans: Monthly credit allocation
Top-up credits: Purchased separately, never expire
Top-up Credits
Need more credits? Purchase additional credits in bulk packages.
Pricing: Check your subscription page for current rates. Bulk purchases often include significant discounts.
Top-up credits:
β Never expire (unlike monthly subscription credits)
β Rollover month to month indefinitely
β Used after monthly allowance
β Non-refundable (but unused credits stay in your account forever)
Key difference: Top-up credits are permanent additions to your account, while monthly subscription credits expire at the end of each billing period.
Credit Usage Priority
Credits are used in this order:
Monthly allowance (resets each billing cycle)
Top-up credits (purchased separately)
Cost Examples
Note: These examples use hypothetical pricing for illustration. Check your subscription page for actual credit costs.
Example 1: Simple Email Search
Search for 50 leads
45 successfully verified emails
5 failed
Cost: Only charged for 45 verified leads (90% success rate)
Example 2: CSV Upload with Phones
Upload 200 contacts, request phones
170 emails verified, 150 phones found
Cost: Charged for 170 email enrichments + 150 phone enrichments
Savings: Refunded for 30 failed emails and 50 missing phones
Example 3: LinkedIn-Only Search
Search for 100 LinkedIn profiles (no email verification)
All 100 profiles found
Cost: LinkedIn-only searches cost significantly less than full email enrichment
(LinkedIn-only searches are cheaper since they skip email verification)
Example 4: Related Search
Main search finds 60/100 requested leads
Related search automatically triggered for remaining 40
Related search finds 35 more leads
Total cost: Charged for 95 total verified leads
You're only charged for the 95 total verified leads, not the original 100 requested.

FULL Search (Default)
Standard credit cost per lead
Delivers leads with verified email addresses. This is the standard search type for email outreach campaigns.
What you get:
Verified, deliverable email address
LinkedIn profile data
Current job title and company
Publicly available data on the internet (e.g. social media profiles)

LINKEDIN_ONLY Search
Reduced credit cost per lead
Delivers LinkedIn profile data without email verification. Faster and cheaper, best for:
LinkedIn outreach campaigns
Market research
Building prospect lists for later enrichment
What you get:
LinkedIn profile URL and data
Current job title and company
Publicly available data on the internet (e.g. social media profiles)

Credit Refund Policy
Automatic Refunds
You're automatically refunded for:
Leads where no verified email was found
Phone numbers not found (if phone enrichment enabled)
Refunds process immediately when the search completes.
Manual Refunds
Email [email protected] for refunds if:
Bounced emails: Forward bounced email to us, we'll credit your account
Incorrect data: If enriched data is clearly wrong, we'll investigate and refund
Technical issues: If our system errors caused failed enrichments
We aim to process manual refunds within 24-48 hours.
Non-Refundable
Top-up credit purchases (though unused credits remain in your account)
Subscription fees
Successfully enriched leads (even if you don't use them)
Monthly Allowance
Starter Plan
Monthly: 1K credits/mo | Annual: 12K credits/yr
Resets on billing date
Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle
Does NOT rollover to next month
Can purchase top-ups for more (which never expire)
Pro Plan
Monthly: 5K credits/mo | Annual: 60K credits/yr
Resets on billing date
Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle
Does NOT rollover to next month

Growth Plan
Monthly: 50K credits/mo | Annual: 600K credits/yr
Resets on billing date
Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle

Important: Your monthly credit allowance is "use it or lose it" - any unused credits from your subscription expire when your billing cycle renews. Only top-up credits (purchased separately) carry over indefinitely.
Fair Use Policy
To maintain service quality, reasonable limits apply per search and account. For high-volume usage, contact [email protected].
Pro tip: Use monthly allowance for regular prospecting, purchase top-ups for one-time campaigns or busy months. Top-ups also act as "insurance" - they never expire, so you can build up a credit reserve for future needs.
How to Save Credits
1. Start with Small Tests
Run 5-10 lead searches to test:
Are the leads relevant? You can preview results first.
Is the email accuracy acceptable?
Are you targeting the right roles/companies?
Iterate until satisfied, then scale up.
2. Use Precise Targeting
More specific searches = higher match rate = fewer wasted credits.
Better: "CTO; AI; San Francisco" Worse: "Finance people in tech"
3. Include LinkedIn URLs
If you have LinkedIn URLs (e.g., from your own research), include them in Manual or CSV uploads. This dramatically improves match accuracy.
4. Skip Phone Enrichment Unless Needed
Phone enrichment costs significantly more per lead. Only enable if you're doing cold calling or multi-channel outreach.
5. Use LinkedIn-Only for Research
If you only need profile data (not emails), use LinkedIn-Only search type for substantially fewer credits per lead.
6. Avoid Duplicate Searches
Hyperscale deduplicates automatically, but searching the same criteria twice wastes your effort.
