LinkedIn URL Formats
LinkedIn URLs come in two types:
Regular LinkedIn URLs
Sales Navigator URLs
Sales Navigator URLs are complex and encoded:
Important:
β Copy the entire URL (including query parameters)
β For Sales Navigator: URL must be from an active subscription
β URL must have results (run the search first)
β Don't modify the URL manually
β Expired URLs won't work
Limitations
LinkedIn Rate Limits
Regular LinkedIn: ~1,000 results per search maximum
Sales Navigator: ~2,500 results per search maximum
Hyperscale processing: Can handle up to the maximum for each type
API limits: May take longer for large batches
Authentication
β οΈ For Sales Navigator URLs: You must have an active subscription
β Regular LinkedIn URLs work with free or premium accounts
β οΈ Expired subscriptions (Sales Navigator) will fail
Search URL Validity
LinkedIn URLs expire after some time
Best practice: Copy URL and paste immediately
If search fails, generate a fresh URL

Hyperscale Credits: Same as regular searches

Additional credits for phone enrichment (optional)
Check your subscription page for current Hyperscale credit pricing.
Example Total Cost:

Comparison: Regular vs Sales Navigator
Regular LinkedIn Search URL
Filters: 8 basic (keywords, location, company, school, etc.)
Max results: 1,000
Cost: Free or $40/mo (Premium)
Best for: Simple searches, general prospecting
Sales Navigator URL
Filters: 25+ advanced (seniority, function, company size, keywords, etc.)
Max results: 2,500
Cost: $79-$149/mo
Best for: Precise targeting, ABM, large volumes
Best Practices
1. Test Filters in Sales Navigator First
Before enriching, run the search in Sales Navigator:
Review first 20-30 profiles manually
Ensure targeting is accurate
Adjust filters if needed
Then copy URL to Hyperscale
2. Use Boolean Search
Sales Navigator supports Boolean operators:
AND: Must have both termsOR: Either term worksNOT: Exclude term"Exact phrase": Match exact phrase
Example: "Head of Sales" OR "VP Sales" NOT "Assistant"
3. Layer Multiple Filters
Don't rely on one filter:
β Seniority + Job Function + Company Size + Geography
β Just "CEO" (too broad)
4. Save Searches in Sales Navigator
Sales Navigator lets you save searches:
Get alerts for new matches
Re-run monthly for fresh leads
Build ongoing prospecting engine
5. Enrich in Batches
For large Sales Navigator searches:
Don't enrich all 2,500 at once
Start with 100-200 to test quality
Scale up if results are good
Troubleshooting
"Invalid LinkedIn URL"
β Ensure URL is from LinkedIn or Sales Navigator
β Copy the full URL including query parameters
β Generate a fresh URL (old ones expire)
β For Sales Navigator: Verify your subscription is active
"No results found"
Your LinkedIn search must have results
Run the search first, verify you see profiles
Then copy the URL
"Authentication failed"
Your LinkedIn session may have expired
Log back into LinkedIn or Sales Navigator
Generate a new search URL
"Fewer leads than expected"
Some profiles may not have public emails
Duplicates are automatically filtered
Email verification fails for some leads
This is normal - expect 70-85% match rate
ROI Analysis
Without Sales Navigator:
Use general LinkedIn search (free)
Broader targeting = lower relevance
Waste credits on irrelevant leads
With Sales Navigator:
Precise targeting = higher relevance
Better response rates (10-30% improvement)
Faster ROI despite higher upfront cost
Break-even: If you're enriching 100+ leads/month, Sales Navigator usually pays for itself in better targeting.
