# CSV Enrichment

Upload a CSV file with contact information and automatically enrich it with verified emails, LinkedIn profiles, and more.

## Overview

CSV Enrichment allows you to upload a list of contacts and have Hyperscale find verified business emails and publicly available professional information. Perfect for enriching existing prospect lists, customer databases, or CRM exports.

## What You'll Get

For each contact in your CSV, Hyperscale will find:

* ✅ Verified business email address
* ✅ Publicly available relevant information
* ✅ Contact details and company information
* ✅ Phone numbers (optional, additional credits per contact)

## How to Use

### Step 1: Prepare Your Data

**Recommended: Include LinkedIn URLs or Company Domain**

For best results, include either LinkedIn URLs or company domain URLs to ensure we match the right person at the right company.

**Option A: LinkedIn URLs Only (Highest Accuracy)**

```csv
LinkedIn URL
linkedin.com/in/johnsmith
linkedin.com/in/janedoe
```

**Option B: Full Name + Company Domain (High Accuracy)**

```csv
Full Name,Company Domain
John Smith,salesforce.com
Jane Doe,microsoft.com
```

**Option C: First Name + Last Name + Company**

```csv
First Name,Last Name,Company
John,Smith,Salesforce
Jane,Doe,Microsoft
```

**Example CSV with recommended columns:**

```csv
LinkedIn URL,First Name,Last Name,Company Domain
linkedin.com/in/johnsmith,John,Smith,salesforce.com
linkedin.com/in/janedoe,Jane,Doe,microsoft.com
```

**Key recommendation**: Including LinkedIn URLs or company domain URLs dramatically improves match accuracy and ensures we find the right person at the correct company.

### Step 2: Upload Your Data

1. Navigate to **Find Leads** → **Enrich CSV Lists**
2. Choose one of two options:
   * **Upload CSV file**: Drag and drop your CSV file or click to browse
   * **Paste LinkedIn URLs**: Simply paste LinkedIn URLs directly (one per line), especially if you're going with Option A.
3. Review the contacts to be enriched

### Step 3: Configure Enrichment

**Search Name**: Give your search a descriptive name (e.g., "Q4 2024 Prospects")

**Rows to Process**: Choose how many contacts to enrich

* Start small (5-10) to test results
* Maximum depends on your credit balance

**Phone Number Enrichment**: Toggle on to include phone numbers

* Costs additional credits per contact
* Includes direct dial and mobile numbers when available

**Credit Calculator**: Shows estimated cost

* Lead enrichment: Credits per contact
* Phone enrichment: Additional credits per contact (if enabled)
* Total credits required

Check your subscription page for current credit pricing.

You'll be redirected to your search results page where you can:

**Example:**

Check your subscription page for current credit costs.

## Best Practices

### 1. Include LinkedIn URLs When Possible

LinkedIn URLs dramatically improve match accuracy. If you have them in your existing list, include them!

### 2. Use Accurate Company Names

* Use official company names: "Salesforce" not "Sales Force"
* Avoid abbreviations: "International Business Machines" or "IBM"
* Parent company names work better than subsidiary names

### 3. Start Small, Then Scale

* Test with 5-10 contacts first
* Check accuracy and data quality
* Scale up once you're satisfied

### 4. Clean Your Data First

Remove:

* Duplicate entries
* Invalid email addresses
* Personal email domains (@gmail.com, @yahoo.com)
* Obviously incomplete data

### 5. Match Format to Your Source

If exporting from a CRM or database, keep the original column names. Hyperscale's auto-detection will likely recognize them.

## Common Use Cases

### Enrich CRM Contacts

Export contacts from your CRM that are missing email addresses, upload to Hyperscale, then sync back enriched data.

### Update Stale Lists

Have a list of prospects from 6+ months ago? Re-enrich to find updated job titles, companies, and contact info.

### Prepare Conference Attendee Lists

Got a list of conference attendees with just names and companies? Enrich to get emails for outreach.

### Research Company Employees

Have a target account list? Combine with general research to find multiple contacts per company, then enrich.

## Troubleshooting

### "Not enough credits"

Top up your credits in **Account Settings** → **Top-up Credits**

### "No valid contacts found"

Ensure your CSV has at least:

* Full Name OR (First Name + Last Name)
* Check that names aren't in strange formats

### Low match rate

* Add LinkedIn URLs to your CSV
* Verify company names are accurate
* Ensure job titles are professional (not nicknames)

### "Failed to parse CSV"

* Save your file as CSV (not Excel .xlsx)
* Check for special characters in headers
* Ensure UTF-8 encoding
