# Search Types Explained

Hyperscale offers two types of searches depending on your needs: **Full** (default) and **LinkedIn-only**.

## Overview

Different outreach strategies require different data. Hyperscale lets you choose:

* **Full**: Get verified email addresses for email campaigns
* **LinkedIn-only**: Get LinkedIn profiles for LinkedIn outreach or research

## Full Search (Default)

**Best for**: Email outreach campaigns, cold email, marketing automation

### What You Get

* ✅ Verified, deliverable email address
* ✅ LinkedIn profile data
* ✅ Current job title and company
* ✅ Publicly available data on the internet (e.g. social media profiles)
* ✅ Optional: Phone numbers (additional cost)

### How It Works

Hyperscale finds and verifies professional email addresses through multiple verification steps, ensuring you only pay for deliverable emails.

### Credit Cost

**Credits per verified lead**

You're only charged for leads with verified, deliverable email addresses. Check your subscription page for current pricing.

### Timeline

Most searches complete within minutes. Processing time varies based on search size and current system load.

### When to Use Full Search

✅ Building email campaign lists ✅ Cold outreach sequences ✅ Newsletter subscriber prospecting ✅ Sales automation workflows ✅ CRM enrichment with email addresses

### Example Use Case

**Goal**: Find 100 marketing managers at SaaS companies for email outreach

**Search Parameters**:

* Job Title: "Marketing Manager, VP Marketing"
* Keywords: "SaaS, B2B"
* Geography: "United States"
* Number of Leads: 100

**Results**:

* 85 leads with verified emails found
* 15 leads failed (no email or bounced)
* **Cost**: Only charged for 85 verified leads
* **Data**: Ready to upload to email campaign tool

***

## LinkedIn-only Search

**Best for**: LinkedIn outreach, connection requests, research, prospect list building

### What You Get

* ✅ LinkedIn profile URL and data
* ✅ Current job title and company
* ✅ Publicly available data on the internet (e.g. social media profiles)
* ➕ Email address — skipped at search time, but [can be added afterward](/find-customers/add-emails-and-phones-later)
* ➕ Phone numbers — [can be added afterward](/find-customers/add-emails-and-phones-later)

### Process

Hyperscale finds and enriches LinkedIn profiles without email verification, making this a faster and more affordable option.

### Credit Cost

**Reduced cost per profile** (significantly cheaper than FULL search)

Much cheaper since email verification is skipped. Check your subscription page for current pricing.

### Timeline

Faster than FULL searches since email verification is skipped. Most searches complete within minutes.

### When to Use LinkedIn-only Search

✅ LinkedIn connection request campaigns ✅ LinkedIn DM outreach ✅ Market research and analysis ✅ Building target account lists ✅ Prospect list for future email enrichment ✅ Finding decision-makers to follow/engage

### Example Use Case

**Goal**: Find 200 CTOs to connect with on LinkedIn for thought leadership

**Search**: "CTOs at enterprise SaaS companies" (LinkedIn-only)

* **Data**: Ready for LinkedIn outreach campaign

### Choose Full Search If:

* 📧 You're running email campaigns
* 📧 You need verified, deliverable email addresses
* 📧 You're syncing to CRM for email outreach
* 📧 You need phone numbers
* 📧 Your primary channel is email

### Choose LinkedIn-only If:

* 💼 You're building a research list
* 💼 You need data fast and cheap
* 💼 You plan to enrich emails later
* 💼 Your primary channel is LinkedIn DMs

***

## Switching Search Types

**Default**: All searches are FULL unless you specify otherwise.

**To use LINKEDIN\_ONLY**: Currently available via API or by request. Contact <support@gethyperscale.com> to enable LINKEDIN\_ONLY search option in your dashboard.

***

## Multi-Stage Strategy

Many users combine both search types:

### Stage 1: Research with LinkedIn-only

* Find 500 target prospects (reduced credit cost)
* Engage with them on LinkedIn
* Build relationships, share content
* Identify warm prospects

### Stage 2: Enrich with Full Search

* Upload warm prospects via CSV
* Enrich with verified emails (standard credit cost)
* Send targeted email campaigns to engaged audience

**Benefit**: Higher email response rates from pre-warmed audience **Note**: Check your subscription page for current credit pricing

***

## Related Searches

Both Full and LinkedIn-only searches support **Related Searches**.

When your main search doesn't find enough leads, Hyperscale automatically:

1. Generates similar job title variations (using AI)
2. Runs related searches
3. Deduplicates results
4. Charges only for unique verified leads

**Example**:

* Request 100 "Product Managers"
* Main search finds 60
* Related search for "Product Leads" finds 35 more
* **Result**: 95 total leads, only charged for 95

***

## Phone Number Enrichment

**Available on**: Full searches at creation time, and on any completed search that was run without phone numbers (see [Add Emails & Phone Numbers Later](/find-customers/add-emails-and-phones-later))

**Cost**: Additional credits per lead (premium pricing for phone data)

**Includes**:

* Direct dial numbers
* Mobile phone numbers (when available)

**When to add phones**:

* Cold calling campaigns
* WhatsApp outreach
* SMS campaigns
* Multi-channel strategies

***

## CSV Enrichment Search Types

When uploading CSVs, you can choose:

* **Full**: Enrich with verified emails (standard rate)
* **LinkedIn-only**: Just find LinkedIn profiles (reduced rate)

Same pricing and pipeline as regular searches.

***

## Cost Optimization Tips

### For Email Campaigns

Use Full search directly - you need verified emails for email outreach campaigns.

### For LinkedIn Campaigns

Use LinkedIn-only to save significantly on credits (significantly cheaper than Full search).

### For Research

Use LinkedIn-only to quickly build large lists at reduced cost, then enrich selectively.

### For Warm Outreach

1. LinkedIn-only to find prospects (reduced credit cost)
2. Engage on LinkedIn
3. CSV enrichment for warm leads only (standard credit cost)

Check your subscription page for current credit pricing for each search type.

# Express Lists

Grab a ready-made list of verified contacts — no search required.

Don't know what to search for? Express Lists let you skip the search entirely and grab a pre-made list of verified contacts, organized by role, industry, or geography.

All contacts in Express Lists come with **verified email addresses** and are delivered instantly — no waiting for enrichment.

## How It Works

1. Go to **Find Leads** and click **Express Lists**
2. Browse the available lists and **click to select one**
3. Choose how many leads you want: **10**, **50**, or **100**
4. Click **⚡️ Add List**
5. Your leads are delivered immediately to your [Manage Leads](https://app.gethyperscale.com/searches) page

Credits are charged at the same rate as a regular search. You only pay for leads successfully added — duplicates of contacts you already have are automatically excluded.

{% hint style="info" %}
Express Lists only include **new contacts** you haven't found before. If you've already sourced leads matching a list, fewer results may be returned to avoid duplicates.
{% endhint %}

## Request a Custom List

Don't see the list you need? You can [request a custom Express List](https://gethyperscale.com/request-express-list) and we'll create one tailored to your target audience.

## Tips

* **Start with 10 leads** to check quality before ordering a larger batch.
* **Use Express Lists alongside regular searches** — Express Lists are great for quick prospecting, while regular searches give you more control over filters.
* **Re-order the same list** later to get fresh contacts — duplicates are automatically excluded.

# CSV Enrichment

Upload a CSV file with contact information and automatically enrich it with verified emails, LinkedIn profiles, and more.

## Overview

CSV Enrichment allows you to upload a list of contacts and have Hyperscale find verified business emails and publicly available professional information. Perfect for enriching existing prospect lists, customer databases, or CRM exports.

## What You'll Get

For each contact in your CSV, Hyperscale will find:

* ✅ Verified business email address
* ✅ Publicly available relevant information
* ✅ Contact details and company information
* ✅ Phone numbers (optional, additional credits per contact)

## How to Use

### Step 1: Prepare Your Data

**Recommended: Include LinkedIn URLs or Company Domain**

For best results, include either LinkedIn URLs or company domain URLs to ensure we match the right person at the right company.

**Option A: LinkedIn URLs Only (Highest Accuracy)**

```csv
LinkedIn URL
linkedin.com/in/johnsmith
linkedin.com/in/janedoe
```

**Option B: Full Name + Company Domain (High Accuracy)**

```csv
Full Name,Company Domain
John Smith,salesforce.com
Jane Doe,microsoft.com
```

**Option C: First Name + Last Name + Company**

```csv
First Name,Last Name,Company
John,Smith,Salesforce
Jane,Doe,Microsoft
```

**Example CSV with recommended columns:**

```csv
LinkedIn URL,First Name,Last Name,Company Domain
linkedin.com/in/johnsmith,John,Smith,salesforce.com
linkedin.com/in/janedoe,Jane,Doe,microsoft.com
```

**Key recommendation**: Including LinkedIn URLs or company domain URLs dramatically improves match accuracy and ensures we find the right person at the correct company.

### Step 2: Upload Your Data

1. Navigate to **Find Leads** → **Enrich CSV Lists**
2. Choose one of two options:
   * **Upload CSV file**: Drag and drop your CSV file or click to browse
   * **Paste LinkedIn URLs**: Simply paste LinkedIn URLs directly (one per line), especially if you're going with Option A.
3. Review the contacts to be enriched

### Step 3: Configure Enrichment

**Search Name**: Give your search a descriptive name (e.g., "Q4 2024 Prospects")

**Rows to Process**: Choose how many contacts to enrich

* Start small (5-10) to test results
* Maximum depends on your credit balance

**Phone Number Enrichment**: Toggle on to include phone numbers

* Costs additional credits per contact
* Includes direct dial and mobile numbers when available

**Credit Calculator**: Shows estimated cost

* Lead enrichment: Credits per contact
* Phone enrichment: Additional credits per contact (if enabled)
* Total credits required

Check your subscription page for current credit pricing.

### Step 5: Start Enrichment

Click **Start Enrichment** to begin processing.

You'll be redirected to your search results page where you can:

* Monitor enrichment progress in real-time
* View completed leads as they're verified
* Export results to CSV
* Sync to your CRM (HubSpot or Close.io)

## Pricing

**You only pay for successfully enriched contacts with verified emails.**

* **Lead with verified email**: Credits per contact
* **Phone number** (optional): Additional credits per contact
* **Failed enrichments**: Automatically refunded

**Example:**

* Upload 100 contacts
* 85 successfully enriched with emails
* 15 failed to find
* **Cost**: Only charged for 85 verified contacts (15 automatically refunded)

Check your subscription page for current credit costs.

## Best Practices

### 1. Include LinkedIn URLs When Possible

LinkedIn URLs dramatically improve match accuracy. If you have them in your existing list, include them!

### 2. Use Accurate Company Names

* Use official company names: "Salesforce" not "Sales Force"
* Avoid abbreviations: "International Business Machines" or "IBM"
* Parent company names work better than subsidiary names

### 3. Start Small, Then Scale

* Test with 5-10 contacts first
* Check accuracy and data quality
* Scale up once you're satisfied

### 4. Clean Your Data First

Remove:

* Duplicate entries
* Invalid email addresses
* Personal email domains (@gmail.com, @yahoo.com)
* Obviously incomplete data

### 5. Match Format to Your Source

If exporting from a CRM or database, keep the original column names. Hyperscale's auto-detection will likely recognize them.

## Common Use Cases

### Enrich CRM Contacts

Export contacts from your CRM that are missing email addresses, upload to Hyperscale, then sync back enriched data.

### Update Stale Lists

Have a list of prospects from 6+ months ago? Re-enrich to find updated job titles, companies, and contact info.

### Prepare Conference Attendee Lists

Got a list of conference attendees with just names and companies? Enrich to get emails for outreach.

### Research Company Employees

Have a target account list? Combine with general research to find multiple contacts per company, then enrich.

## Troubleshooting

### "Not enough credits"

Top up your credits in **Account Settings** → **Top-up Credits**

### "No valid contacts found"

Ensure your CSV has at least:

* Full Name OR (First Name + Last Name)
* Check that names aren't in strange formats

### Low match rate

* Add LinkedIn URLs to your CSV
* Verify company names are accurate
* Ensure job titles are professional (not nicknames)

### "Failed to parse CSV"

* Save your file as CSV (not Excel .xlsx)
* Check for special characters in headers
* Ensure UTF-8 encoding

## Need Help?

Email us at <support@gethyperscale.com> with:

* Your search ID (you can find it in the URL of your search results)
* Sample CSV (first 5 rows)
* Description of the issue

We'll help troubleshoot and optimize your enrichment process.

# Phone Number Enrichment

Add phone numbers to your lead enrichment for multi-channel outreach.

## Overview

Phone Number Enrichment finds direct dial and mobile phone numbers for your leads. Perfect for cold calling, WhatsApp outreach, or multi-channel campaigns.

## What You Get

When phone enrichment is enabled, Hyperscale finds the best available phone numbers from publicly available business sources.

**Note**: Unlike email addresses (which are verified for deliverability), phone numbers are sourced but not verified. We provide the best available phone numbers we can find.

## How It Works

Phone enrichment integrates seamlessly with lead enrichment:

1. **Discovery** → Finds phone numbers from public business sources
2. **Formatting** → Standardizes to international format
3. **Result** → Clean, ready-to-dial phone numbers

## Pricing

**Additional credits per lead** (in addition to base email enrichment cost)

Phone enrichment costs significantly more than email-only enrichment. Check your subscription page for current pricing.

### Billing Model

Same as email enrichment - upfront charge, automatic refunds:

**Example**:

* Request 100 leads with phones
* Results: 85 emails found, 70 phones found
* **Refund**: Automatically refunded for leads where email or phone wasn't found
* **Final cost**: Only charged for successfully enriched data

When phones are enabled **at search creation**, you're only charged for leads where BOTH email and phone were found.

{% hint style="info" %}
Adding phones to a search **after it has finished** is billed differently: you pay the phone cost only, per lead, refunded as each lead comes back without a phone number. There's no email charge involved — so you can add phones to a LinkedIn-only search without paying for email verification. See [Add Emails & Phone Numbers Later](/find-customers/add-emails-and-phones-later) for the full billing rules, including what happens if a run times out.
{% endhint %}

## Availability

### Regular Searches

✅ Phone enrichment available

### LinkedIn-only Searches

⚠️ Not available at search creation, but phone numbers **can be added after the search completes** — see [Adding Phones Later](#adding-phones-later).

### CSV Enrichment

✅ Phone enrichment available - toggle during upload

## Success Rates

**Typical phone match rates**:

* **Direct dial numbers**: 40-60% of leads
* **Mobile numbers**: 20-40% of leads
* **Either direct or mobile**: 50-70% of leads

Success varies by:

* Industry (tech has lower rates than traditional sectors)
* Seniority (C-suite harder to find than mid-level)
* Company size (larger companies easier)
* Geography (US/Canada higher rates than international)

## When to Use Phone Enrichment

### ✅ Great For:

* **Cold calling campaigns** - Need direct dials
* **WhatsApp outreach** - Mobile numbers for messaging
* **SMS campaigns** - Text message marketing
* **Multi-channel sequences** - Email → Call → LinkedIn
* **High-value deals** - Personal touch for enterprise sales
* **Appointment setting** - Call to book meetings

### ❌ Skip If:

* **Email-only campaigns** - Save credits by skipping phone enrichment
* **LinkedIn outreach** - Don't need phones for InMail
* **Budget constraints** - Phone enrichment costs significantly more
* **Low-touch sales** - Self-service products don't need calls
* **Large volumes** - Phone enrichment costs add up quickly at scale

## How to Enable

### During Search Creation

1. Configure your search (job title, location, etc.)
2. Find the **"Include Phone Numbers"** toggle
3. Enable it before starting the search
4. Credit calculator updates to show phone costs

### During CSV Upload

1. Upload your CSV and map headers
2. Find the **"Include Phone Numbers"** toggle
3. Enable it before starting enrichment
4. Credit calculator shows total cost with phones

### Adding Phones Later

You don't have to decide at search creation. Any completed search that was run without phone numbers can be enriched afterward:

1. Open the completed search
2. Select the leads you want phone numbers for
3. Click the **⋯** menu on the Search Results card and choose **Get Phone Numbers**

Full details in [Add Emails & Phone Numbers Later](/find-customers/add-emails-and-phones-later).

{% hint style="info" %}
Leads need a LinkedIn profile URL for us to look them up, so leads without one are skipped and not charged. For a CSV-sourced list with no LinkedIn URLs, re-upload the CSV with phone enrichment enabled instead.
{% endhint %}

## Phone Number Format

All phone numbers are formatted in international E.164 format:

**Examples**:

* US: +1-555-123-4567
* UK: +44-20-1234-5678
* Germany: +49-30-12345678

This format works with:

* ✅ Dialers and auto-dialers
* ✅ WhatsApp
* ✅ SMS platforms
* ✅ CRM systems
* ✅ Click-to-call tools

## Data Sources

Phone numbers come from multiple verified business data sources including:

* Public business directories
* Company websites
* Professional databases
* Verified contact information

All numbers are sourced from publicly available business information.

## Quality & Accuracy

### Phone Verification

Every phone number is verified before being charged:

* ✅ Valid format
* ✅ Active number (not disconnected)
* ✅ Correct country code

### Accuracy Expectations

* **Direct dial numbers**: 85-95% accuracy
* **Mobile numbers**: 70-85% accuracy
* **Disconnect rate**: 5-15% (people change jobs)

### What "Accuracy" Means

* ✅ Number connects
* ✅ Right company
* ⚠️ May not reach exact person (could be desk line shared by department)
* ⚠️ Person may have left company (data aging)

## Data Freshness

Phone numbers are updated regularly but can become stale:

* **0-3 months old**: Highest accuracy (90%+)
* **3-6 months old**: Good accuracy (80-90%)
* **6-12 months old**: Moderate accuracy (70-80%)
* **12+ months old**: Lower accuracy (60-70%)

If you get a disconnect, request a refund at <support@gethyperscale.com>.

## CRM Integration

Phone numbers sync automatically to your CRM:

### HubSpot

* Syncs to "Phone Number" field
* Mobile numbers preferred over direct dial
* Formatted for click-to-call

### Close.io

* Syncs to contact phone field
* Properly formatted for Close's dialer
* Tagged as "mobile" or "work"

## Phone Enrichment vs. Email Enrichment

| Feature          | Email Enrichment     | Phone Enrichment        |
| ---------------- | -------------------- | ----------------------- |
| **Cost** | Base cost | Additional premium cost |
| **Match Rate**   | 75-85%               | 50-70%                  |
| **Accuracy**     | 90-95%               | 80-90%                  |
| **Use Case** | Email campaigns | Cold calling |
| **Verification** | Email deliverability | Number validity         |
| **CRM Sync** | Always syncs | Always syncs |

## Privacy & Compliance

### Data Sources

* All phone numbers from public business directories
* No personal cell phone scraping
* Complies with data protection regulations

### Do Not Call Lists

Hyperscale provides phone numbers but does NOT:

* ❌ Check against Do Not Call registries (your responsibility)
* ❌ Guarantee compliance with telemarketing laws
* ❌ Provide legal advice on cold calling

**Your responsibility**:

* Check local Do Not Call laws
* Maintain your own suppression list
* Follow TCPA (US), GDPR (EU), and local regulations

## Best Practices

### 1. Test First

Start with a small batch (10-20 leads) to test:

* Phone match rate for your target audience
* Number quality and accuracy
* ROI vs. email-only approach

### 2. Multi-Channel Sequences

Use phones as part of a sequence:

1. Email introduction
2. LinkedIn connection request
3. Phone call follow-up
4. Email follow-up

Don't rely on phones alone - integrate with other channels.

### 3. Time Your Calls

* **Best times**: Tuesday-Thursday, 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm local time
* **Worst times**: Monday mornings, Friday afternoons, lunch hours
* **Time zones**: Always call during business hours in lead's timezone

### 4. Prioritize High-Value Leads

Phone enrichment costs significantly more than email-only. Use it for:

* ✅ Enterprise deals worth $50k+
* ✅ C-suite executives
* ✅ Hard-to-reach decision makers
* ❌ Not for low-ticket, high-volume products

### 5. Keep Good Records

Track outcomes in your CRM:

* ✅ Connected / Voicemail / Wrong number / Disconnected
* Use this data to refine future searches
* Request refunds for disconnected numbers

## Troubleshooting

### "Phone number not found for most leads"

This is normal. Match rates vary by:

* **Industry**: Tech has lower rates
* **Seniority**: Executives harder to find
* **Geography**: International lower rates
* **Company size**: Startups harder than enterprises

Typical match rate: 50-70%

### "Phone number is disconnected"

People change jobs frequently. If multiple numbers are disconnected:

1. Forward details to <support@gethyperscale.com>
2. We'll credit your account
3. Consider targeting more stable roles (not startups)

### "Only got direct dial, not mobile"

Mobile numbers are harder to find. We provide whichever is available:

* Direct dial > Mobile > Both > Neither
* You're charged if we find either

### "Phone enrichment toggle is disabled"

The toggle at search creation is only available for FULL searches (not LINKEDIN\_ONLY). You can still add phone numbers once the search has finished — see [Adding Phones Later](#adding-phones-later).

## Refund Policy

You're automatically refunded if:

* ✅ No phone number found
* ✅ Email found but no phone (refund for phone cost only)

Manual refunds if:

* ✅ Disconnected number (email <support@gethyperscale.com>)
* ✅ Wrong person's number (clearly inaccurate)

Not refundable:

* ❌ Person doesn't answer (valid number, just no answer)
* ❌ Gatekeeper/assistant answers (number works, just screened)
* ❌ Voicemail only (valid number)

## Cost Comparison

### Email Only

* Lower cost per lead
* Best for: Email campaigns, newsletter growth, warm outreach

### Email + Phone

* Premium cost (significantly higher)
* Best for: Cold calling, multi-channel, high-value deals

### When Phone ROI Makes Sense

Break-even analysis:

* **Email response rate**: 2-5%
* **Phone connection rate**: 20-40%
* **Sales cycle**: Phones accelerate deals

If your deal size is $10k+, the premium phone enrichment cost often pays for itself in faster closes.

## Coming Soon

* 🚀 Country-specific phone preferences
* 🚀 Mobile vs direct dial preference toggle
* 🚀 Enhanced phone verification

## Need Help?

**Enable phone enrichment**: Toggle during search creation or CSV upload — or add phones to a completed search via **⋯ → Get Phone Numbers**

**Check match rates**: Search results page shows phone count

**Report bad numbers**: <support@gethyperscale.com> with details

**Questions on ROI**: We'll help calculate if phone enrichment makes sense for your use case

# Add Emails & Phone Numbers Later

Add verified emails or phone numbers to a search you've already run, without re-running the search or re-uploading a CSV.

You don't have to decide everything up front. Once a search has finished, you can go back and enrich the leads you actually care about:

* **Get Verified Emails** — adds verified email addresses to a LinkedIn-only search.
* **Get Phone Numbers** — adds phone numbers to any search that didn't already include them.

Both run on the **leads you select**, so you can spend credits on the 50 leads worth pursuing rather than all 500.

{% hint style="info" %}
This is why starting with a **LinkedIn-only search** is a good default. A LinkedIn-only lead plus emails added later costs the same in total as running a Full search up front — so deferring the email spend costs you nothing, and you only pay it on the leads you keep.
{% endhint %}

## Where to find it

1. Open a completed search from [Manage Leads](https://app.gethyperscale.com/searches).
2. **Select the leads** you want to enrich, using the checkboxes in the **Name** column. The header checkbox selects everything.
3. Click the **⋯** (three dots) menu in the top-right of the **Search Results** card.
4. Choose **Get Verified Emails** or **Get Phone Numbers**.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The two options only appear when leads are selected. If you don't see them, check that you've selected at least one lead — and that the search has finished running.
{% endhint %}

## When each option is available

| Option                  | Appears on                                                 |
| ----------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Get Verified Emails** | Completed searches that were run as **LinkedIn-only** |
| **Get Phone Numbers** | Completed searches that were run **without phone numbers** |

What matters is how the search was originally run. A Full search already includes verified emails, so it never shows the email option; a search you created with phone numbers switched on never shows the phone option.

Once you've run an enrichment of either type on a search, that option stays available so you can make further passes over the rest of the leads.

## Confirming the cost

Selecting either option opens a confirmation dialog showing the **most** you could be charged — the number of leads in the run, the credit cost per lead, and an "up to" total. Nothing is charged until you confirm.

Credits are **charged upfront** when you confirm, and **refunded automatically** for leads we can't enrich — for email runs when the run finishes, and for phone runs as each lead's result comes back.

### Leads that are skipped and not charged

Not every selected lead is chargeable. The dialog quotes the "up to" figure before these skips are worked out, so the amount actually charged is often lower than the number you were shown. Skipped for free:

**Get Verified Emails**

* Leads imported from a CSV or added manually — we never enriched them, so there's nothing to upgrade
* Leads we've already determined have no qualifying email

**Get Phone Numbers**

* Leads that already have a phone number
* Leads with no LinkedIn profile URL — we need one to look up a phone number

{% hint style="info" %}
On a **first** email run, leads that already have a verified email are charged, and their email is revealed. On **repeat** runs those leads are skipped for free, so re-selecting everything won't bill you twice for the same data.
{% endhint %}

## Enriching large searches

A single enrichment run handles up to **1,000 leads**. That isn't a lifetime limit — you can run it again to keep going:

* If you select more than 1,000 leads, the selection is automatically trimmed to 1,000, prioritizing the leads that still need the data.
* When the run finishes, select again and run it once more. Each pass picks up where the last left off.

An 8,000-lead search takes eight passes to enrich completely.

{% hint style="warning" %}
While an enrichment run is going on a search, both options are hidden. Wait for it to finish and they'll come back — you can't start another run of the same type while one is still going.
{% endhint %}

## What to expect while it runs

* The **email or phone column appears immediately**, before any data arrives. Empty cells during a run are normal, not a failure.
* A banner shows that enrichment is in progress, and results **fill in progressively** as they land — the page refreshes itself roughly every 30 seconds.
* A toast notification confirms completion. For email runs it also reports how many credits were refunded; phone refunds are issued separately as each lead's result comes back, so they aren't totalled in that message.
* Email enrichment typically takes a few minutes; allow up to around 35 minutes for a large run.
* You can't delete the search while a run is in progress.

If a run doesn't fully settle in time, it finishes as **timed out**. This is a normal outcome rather than an error — for email runs, credits for every lead that wasn't verified are still refunded.

{% hint style="info" %}
If a **phone** run times out, a small number of leads may still have been charged without a result. If you spot that, email <support@gethyperscale.com> with the search and we'll put the credits back.
{% endhint %}

## Troubleshooting

**"An enrichment for this search is already in progress"**\
Another run is still going on this search. Wait for it to finish, then try again.

**"Out of Credits"**\
You don't have enough credits for the selected leads. [Top up](/account-settings/top-up-credits) and try again — nothing was charged.

**The menu options aren't showing**\
Check, in order: the search has finished; you've selected at least one lead; no other enrichment run is active; and the search was originally run without that data — a Full search never offers **Get Verified Emails**, and a search created with phone numbers never offers **Get Phone Numbers**.

**Fewer leads were charged than I selected**\
That's the skip rules above doing their job — imported leads, leads without a LinkedIn URL, and leads that already have a phone number aren't charged. Note that on a *first* email run, leads that already have a verified email are charged, since that run reveals the address.

1. Go to **Account Settings** → **Connected Accounts**
2. Click **Connect LinkedIn**
3. Add your cookie
4. Save
5. Connection complete!

**Important**: This is required for Hyperscale to extract profile URLs from LinkedIn searches. You only need to do this once.

**Troubleshooting**: If you see "LinkedIn not connected" error when trying to use LinkedIn URLs, go back to Account Settings and connect your LinkedIn account first.

### Step 1: Set Up Your LinkedIn Search

Choose either Regular LinkedIn or Sales Navigator depending on your needs:

#### Option A: Regular LinkedIn Search

1. Log into LinkedIn
2. Click on the search bar and enter your criteria

## LinkedIn URL Formats

LinkedIn URLs come in two types:

### Regular LinkedIn URLs

```
https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/people/?keywords=...
https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/people/?geoUrn=...
```

### Sales Navigator URLs

Sales Navigator URLs are complex and encoded:

```
https://www.linkedin.com/sales/search/people?query=...
https://www.linkedin.com/sales/search/company?query=...
https://www.linkedin.com/sales/lists/people/...
```

**Important**:

* ✅ Copy the entire URL (including query parameters)
* ✅ For Sales Navigator: URL must be from an active subscription
* ✅ URL must have results (run the search first)
* ❌ Don't modify the URL manually
* ❌ Expired URLs won't work

## Limitations

### LinkedIn Rate Limits

* **Regular LinkedIn**: \~1,000 results per search maximum
* **Sales Navigator**: \~2,500 results per search maximum
* **Hyperscale processing**: Can handle up to the maximum for each type
* **API limits**: May take longer for large batches

### Authentication

* ⚠️ For Sales Navigator URLs: You must have an active subscription
* ✅ Regular LinkedIn URLs work with free or premium accounts
* ⚠️ Expired subscriptions (Sales Navigator) will fail

### Search URL Validity

* LinkedIn URLs expire after some time
* Best practice: Copy URL and paste immediately
* If search fails, generate a fresh URL

## Cost

**Sales Navigator Subscription**: $79-$149/month (via LinkedIn)

**Hyperscale Credits**: Same as regular searches

* Credits per lead with verified email
* Additional credits for phone enrichment (optional)

Check your subscription page for current Hyperscale credit pricing.

**Example Total Cost**:

* Sales Navigator: $79/month
* Hyperscale credits for enrichment
* **Total**: Sales Navigator subscription + Hyperscale credits for highly targeted leads

## Comparison: Regular vs Sales Navigator

### Regular LinkedIn Search URL

```
https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/people/?keywords=ceo&location=San%20Francisco
```

* **Filters**: 8 basic (keywords, location, company, school, etc.)
* **Max results**: 1,000
* **Cost**: Free or $40/mo (Premium)
* **Best for**: Simple searches, general prospecting

### Sales Navigator URL

```
https://www.linkedin.com/sales/search/people?query=(filters%3AList((...)))
```

* **Filters**: 25+ advanced (seniority, function, company size, keywords, etc.)
* **Max results**: 2,500
* **Cost**: $79-$149/mo
* **Best for**: Precise targeting, ABM, large volumes

## Best Practices

### 1. Test Filters in Sales Navigator First

Before enriching, run the search in Sales Navigator:

* Review first 20-30 profiles manually
* Ensure targeting is accurate
* Adjust filters if needed
* Then copy URL to Hyperscale

### 2. Use Boolean Search

Sales Navigator supports Boolean operators:

* `AND`: Must have both terms
* `OR`: Either term works
* `NOT`: Exclude term
* `"Exact phrase"`: Match exact phrase

**Example**: `"Head of Sales" OR "VP Sales" NOT "Assistant"`

### 3. Layer Multiple Filters

Don't rely on one filter:

* ✅ Seniority + Job Function + Company Size + Geography
* ❌ Just "CEO" (too broad)

### 4. Save Searches in Sales Navigator

Sales Navigator lets you save searches:

* Get alerts for new matches
* Re-run monthly for fresh leads
* Build ongoing prospecting engine

### 5. Enrich in Batches

For large Sales Navigator searches:

* Don't enrich all 2,500 at once
* Start with 100-200 to test quality
* Scale up if results are good

## Troubleshooting

### "Invalid LinkedIn URL"

* ✅ Ensure URL is from LinkedIn or Sales Navigator
* ✅ Copy the full URL including query parameters
* ✅ Generate a fresh URL (old ones expire)
* ✅ For Sales Navigator: Verify your subscription is active

### "No results found"

* Your LinkedIn search must have results
* Run the search first, verify you see profiles
* Then copy the URL

### "Authentication failed"

* Your LinkedIn session may have expired
* Log back into LinkedIn or Sales Navigator
* Generate a new search URL

### "Fewer leads than expected"

* Some profiles may not have public emails
* Duplicates are automatically filtered
* Email verification fails for some leads
* This is normal - expect 70-85% match rate

## ROI Analysis

**Without Sales Navigator**:

* Use general LinkedIn search (free)
* Broader targeting = lower relevance
* Waste credits on irrelevant leads

**With Sales Navigator**:

* Precise targeting = higher relevance
* Better response rates (10-30% improvement)
* Faster ROI despite higher upfront cost

**Break-even**: If you're enriching 100+ leads/month, Sales Navigator usually pays for itself in better targeting.

# Move Leads Between Lists

Reorganize your leads by moving them between search lists.

You can move leads from one search list to another to keep your prospecting organized — for example, grouping high-priority contacts together or separating leads by campaign.

## How to Move Leads

1. Go to **Manage Leads** and open a search
2. **Select the leads** you want to move using the checkboxes
3. Click the **⋯ menu** (top-right of the results table)
4. Click **"Move to another list"**
5. Choose the **destination search list** from the dropdown
6. Click **"Move Leads"**

The selected leads will be removed from the current list and added to the destination list.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Campaigns are not affected.** If any of the moved leads are part of an active campaign, the campaign will continue to work normally — campaigns are linked to people directly, not to search lists.
{% endhint %}

## Things to Know

* You can only move leads to **completed searches** (searches that have finished processing).
* The current search is excluded from the dropdown — you can't move leads to the same list.
* If you don't have any other completed searches yet, run another search first to create a destination list.

# Find People

Find people profiles on LinkedIn in seconds.

## **What this does**

You can search for people with extensive filters. In general, anything you can filter on LinkedIn can be filtered here.

Each profile will include the person's business email address (where available), and public LinkedIn profile information.

## Who this is best for

This is best for B2B businesses looking to pitch to a specific type of person or company, e.g.

* People with a specific job title ("Compliance Managers in Germany")
* Companies with specific characteristics (e.g. "Financial services companies with between 10-50 employees"

# People - General Search

Find LinkedIn People profiles with simple filters.

Quick Search instantly sources LinkedIn People Profiles with business emails, through simple filters such as keywords, job titles and locations.

## Start Search

* Type in filters for your Search.
* For example, if you are looking for Partners at McKinsey in London, you can type in
  * **Keywords:** McKinsey
  * **Job Title:** Partner
  * **Location:** London
* Use Exclude for any keywords you do not want to see, e.g. BCG.
* You can leave fields blank when you don't need them.
* Hyperscale will return 10 initial results to check that they are the type of profiles you are looking for.
* Click on any of the profiles to check, then click Next to continue.
* Click 'Start Sourcing Leads', then type in the number of profiles you would like to scrape. You can scrape up to 100 in every search.

## View Results

* Go to [Manage Leads](https://app.gethyperscale.com/searches)
* View search results and status
* Note that some searches may take longer to verify every email that comes back

## Tips and Tricks

* **Keep each search simple** - use a small number of precise keywords instead of overloading with all relevant terms.
  * For example, if you are looking for Compliance Managers, Chief Data Officers and Head of Information Security in Germany:
  * **DO** three separate searches, each with one job title like this:
    * **Keywords:** Data
    * **Job Title:** Chief Data Officer
    * **Location**: Germany
  * **DO NOT** do a packed search like this:
    * **Keywords:** Data, Compliance, Security
    * **Job Title:** Compliance Managers, Chief Data Officers and Head of Information Security
    * **Location:** Germany and everywhere in Europe
* **Choose Country or City-level locations**
  * E.g. "United Kingdom" or "London" are better than "Europe".
  * Also, if your location is a common name in many countries (e.g. "London" could exist in multiple countries) it is often helpful to include the country (e.g. "London, UK")
* **Try repeatedly until your preliminary results look right.**
  * Your preliminary results don't cost any credits. So feel free to redo searches until you find a list of 10 that look 80-90% like your desired targets, before you start sourcing leads.
  * If there are only a very small number of results, try to reduce the number of terms you enter into the Search
* **If you want a lot of filters, go to Detailed Search.**
  * Quick search works much better when you have specific job titles and companies in mind
  * If you have a lot of specific filters in mind, e.g. specific industry verticals, common hashtags, etc. it's better to use Detailed Search to replicate a specific set of filters on LinkedIn.

# People - via LinkedIn

Extract all results from a specific LinkedIn Search

When you need a lot of filters to find specific targets, you can go to LinkedIn, filter for the specific results you want, and get Hyperscale to extract all the search results for you.

Start a LinkedIn search for people here: <https://app.gethyperscale.com/find-leads>

## How it works

* Click Find New Leads > People via LinkedIn
* Go to <https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/people/>
* In LinkedIn, start filtering for results using any of the controls on-screen.&#x20;
  * For example, you can choose specific keywords, industry verticals, job titles, locations, names, and more.
  * There are more settings available when you click "All Filters" as well.
* Check that once filtered, your top results are what you wanted.
* Once you are happy with the filters selected, copy the URL and paste it into Hyperscale.
* Then, select the number of results you want. This can be up to 1,000.
* Hyperscale will then extract all of the search results from the specific filters you provided.

## Tips and Tricks

* **Use All Filters to go into granular detail.**
  * For example, it's better to specify the Job Title in the specific Job Title field under All Filters, than to put it in the Keyword field.
  * Use "Add a X" to add a specific search query when the initial results don't show what you want.&#x20;
    * For example, you can "Add an Industry" for verticals that aren't in the suggested list
* **If you need Company-level Filters, start from a Company Detailed Search instead.**
  * For example, you might be looking for CFOs at financial services companies with 10-50 employees.
    * The best search would be to start a Company-first Detailed Search for "Financial Services" vertical with "10-50 employees" selected.
    * Then, trigger a People search within those companies, with the Job Title set to "CFO".

# Find Companies

You can filter first for the right companies, and then find relevant people in those companies.

We currently offer four different ways to find companies on Hyperscale.

Each of these will find companies first, and then find people at those companies via LinkedIn.

* **Companies via LinkedIn** - Best for B2B companies
* **Physical Locations** - Best for D2C products and those serving a fixed geographical area
* **Actively Hiring Companies** - Best for B2B services like IT, recruitment, marketing and more.
* **Similar Companies** - Best for companies with a very specific customer profile

## Companies via LinkedIn

#### What this does

You can search for companies with extensive filters. In general, anything you can filter on LinkedIn can be filtered here.

Each profile will include the person's business email address (where available), and public LinkedIn profile information.

#### Who this is best for

This is best for B2B businesses looking to pitch to a specific type of person or company, e.g.

* People with a specific job title ("Compliance Managers in Germany")
* Companies with specific characteristics (e.g. "Financial services companies with between 10-50 employees"

## Find Physical Locations

#### What this does

You can search for physical locations on Maps, and then flip to LinkedIn to find people who work at those locations.

Each profile will include their Maps data (e.g. location, description, website etc.), social media links (e.g. Instagram handle) and where available, emails.

#### Who this is best for

This is best for D2C businesses, or businesses looking for customers in a concentrated geographical area.

For example, if you are a F\&B brand looking to distribute your product to restaurants and convenience stores near you, you can find "Casual Cafes near Oxford Street in London, UK". This will give you a detailed list of Cafes. The system will then go into LinkedIn to find owners and staff who work at those Cafes, so you can pitch them directly.

Alternatively, you might be selling to small businesses in an area, such as "Interior Design Agencies in St Albans". This search will be much more effective on Maps than LinkedIn.

## Find actively hiring companies

#### What this does

You can search for companies hiring for specific job titles, and then flip into LinkedIn to find people working at those companies.

Each profile includes the job posting, company LinkedIn details and more. We then also search for employees at those companies with any job title you specify, and include their personal profile details and business email addresses.

#### Who this is best for

This is best for B2B services. For example, if you offer IT support, you can find companies hiring for IT managers. Then, you can use Hyperscale to find the CEO, CHRO, or Head of IT at those companies, and pitch them that instead of hiring an IT manager, they should hire you.

In essence, this uses a company's hiring intent to find you the most qualified customers.

## Find similar companies

#### What this does

You can provide the LinkedIn Company URL of an existing customer, or a company that seems like an ideal target customer. We will source 10 to 100 similar companies.

Each profile includes the job posting, company LinkedIn details and more. We then also search for employees at those companies with any job title you specify, and include their personal profile details and business email addresses.

#### Who this is best for

This is best for companies with a very specific customer profile, who can also serve multiple competitors in one space.

For example, you might be selling real estate analytics tools. You can enter one real estate agency you already serve, and find 100 other similar agencies.

# Companies - via LinkedIn

Extract all results from a specific LinkedIn Search

**This feature is currently in closed beta to select Growth Plan subscribers.**

When you want to find Company targets with very specific criteria on company size, verticals and more, you can go to LinkedIn, filter for the specific results you want, and get Hyperscale to extract all the search results for you.

## How it works

* Click Find New Leads > Companies
* Go to <https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/companies/>
* In LinkedIn, start filtering for results using any of the controls on-screen.&#x20;
  * For example, you can choose specific keywords, industry verticals, company size, etc.
* Once you the Company Search is complete, you can then specify the Job Title you want to search for within these companies. For example, you might want to look for "CHRO" in all of these companies.
* We will then do a People Search to find the LinkedIn profiles and Emails for employees at the companies you found with the specified job title.

## Tips and Tricks

* **This could be a better way to find specific People when you have stringent Company requirements.**
* **In general, you should choose this option over Use Direct Filters for Company Search.**
  * This option gives you a lot more flexibility on the specific search filters you want
  * Direct Filters is a faster option as you can do everything in the bot, but it restricts you to three filters (Industry, Company Size, Location) and is relatively restrictive on location (US and UK only).

# Physical Locations

Find locations on Maps and their owners and employees on LinkedIn

**This feature is currently in closed beta to select Growth Plan subscribers.**

## **What this does**

You can search for physical locations on Maps, and then flip to LinkedIn to find people who work at those locations.

Each profile will include their Maps data (e.g. location, description, website etc.), social media links (e.g. Instagram handle) and where available, emails.

## Who this is best for

## How this works

* Click Find New Leads > Locations
* Type in a search phrase, similar to how you would on Google Maps (e.g. "Casual Cafes near Oxford Street in London, UK").
  * More granular locations are helpful, e.g. "in Brixton, London" is better than "United Kingdom"
  * As each search is limited to 200 results, if you have a wide catchment area, you can often get more results by doing multiple searches of granular locations and putting them back together.
  * For example, if you are looking at locations in London, you can do a search for every local county and get thousands of results, instead of 200 results in London as a whole.
* Check that the preliminary results are what you are looking for. Click into anyone to validate the location on Google Maps, then click "Next".
* Click Start Search, and specify the number of results you want. You can do between 20 to 200 at one time.
* The bot will update you with new locations found. You can view them under the Locations tab in your Database.
* Each location profile will have their Google Maps profile information and social links, including Instagram, LinkedIn and their website.
* Once the search is complete, you can Download a .csv, or open your database.
* Then, you will be prompted to find employees from these locations. Click "Yes" to proceed.
* We will then source up to 3 employees for every location, including their LinkedIn profile details and work email.

# Actively Hiring Companies

Find companies hiring for specific roles and pitch their leadership/employees.

**This feature is currently in closed beta to select Growth Plan subscribers.**

## What this does

You can search for companies hiring for specific job titles, and then flip into LinkedIn to find people working at those companies.

Each profile includes the job posting, company LinkedIn details and more. We then also search for employees at those companies with any job title you specify, and include their personal profile details and business email addresses.

## Who this is best for

This is best for B2B services. For example, if you offer IT support, you can find companies hiring for IT managers. Then, you can use Hyperscale to find the CEO, CHRO, or Head of IT at those companies, and pitch them that instead of hiring an IT manager, they should hire you.

In essence, this uses a company's hiring intent to find you the most qualified customers.

## How this works

* Click Find New Leads > Actively Hiring Companies
* Type in a Jobs search query, like you would on Indeed or other jobs sites. E.g. "Software Engineers in San Francisco"
  * More granular locations help: include a City or Country level location
* The bot will source 10 preliminary job postings. Check that the companies posting those jobs are roughly who you are looking for.
  * Occasionally, this will include recruitment firms. You can filter out these firms when they have been imported to your database.
* Click on any job posting to continue.
* Click "Start search" and specify a number of results. You can do 20-200.
* Once the results are in, you can download a .csv or view them in your Database.
* You will then be guided to find employees at these companies.
* Choose Quick Search to find employees by specifying a job title.
  * Enter the job title you want to find (e.g. CHRO)
  * Employees at the companies who posted the jobs, matching the title you specified, will be returned. You will have their LinkedIn profile information and email.
* Click Detailed Search if you want to add more filters, such as School.
  * Enter the job title you want to find (e.g. CHRO) and any other filters (e.g. "Harvard" for School)
  * Employees at the companies who posted the jobs, matching the title and background you specified, will be returned. You will have their LinkedIn profile information and email.

# Similar Companies

Find companies similar to your existing clients.

**This feature is currently in closed beta to select Growth Plan subscribers.**

## **What this does**

You can provide the LinkedIn Company URL of an existing customer, or a company that seems like an ideal target customer. We will source 10 to 100 similar companies.

Each profile includes all of the company's LinkedIn profile information. We then also search for employees at those companies with any job title you specify, and include their personal profile details and business email addresses.

## Who this is best for

This is best for companies with a very specific customer profile, who can also serve multiple competitors in one space.

For example, you might be selling real estate analytics tools. You can enter one real estate agency you already serve, and find 100 other similar agencies.

## How this works

* Click Find New Leads > Similar Companies
* Enter the Company Name and LinkedIn URL of a target customer.
  * This can be an existing client, or an ideal customer target
* The bot will show you 10 initial results similar to the company you provided. Check that they are broadly what you are looking for. Click on any profile to proceed.
  * This is based on the LinkedIn profiles users also viewed after seeing the link you specified. As a result, they may not always be direct competitors.
* Once the search is complete, you will be prompted to find employees from these companies. Click "Yes" to proceed.
* Specify the job titles of employees you would like to search for, e.g. "CEO"
* The search will begin. You will receive live updates while the results come in. Once complete, the chat will resume.
* Each employee profile will include their LinkedIn profile information and work email.

# LinkedIn Campaign Types

Understand the different LinkedIn and Sales Navigator campaign options available in Hyperscale.

Hyperscale offers four LinkedIn campaign types, each suited for different outreach strategies. All LinkedIn campaigns use AI-personalized messages and support automated follow-up sequences.

## Campaign Types at a Glance

| Campaign Type                            | Channel                 | Best For                             | Sends To                            |
| ---------------------------------------- | ----------------------- | ------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------- |
| **LinkedIn** | Connection Request + DM | Cold outreach to new prospects | 2nd/3rd degree connections |
| **LinkedIn Sales Navigator** | Connection Request + DM | Cold outreach with Sales Nav filters | 2nd/3rd degree connections |
| **LinkedIn DM Connections** | Direct Message only | Messaging existing connections | 1st degree connections only |
| **LinkedIn Sales Navigator DM / InMail** | DM or InMail | Messaging via Sales Navigator | Anyone (InMail for non-connections) |

## LinkedIn (Connection Request)

**Best for:** Cold outreach to people you're not yet connected with.

This is the most common LinkedIn campaign type. It sends a personalized connection request first, then follows up with direct messages once the recipient accepts.

### How it works

1. You select recipients from your search results
2. Hyperscale sends a personalized connection request with an optional note
3. Once the recipient accepts, follow-up messages are sent as direct messages
4. If the recipient is already in your network, the follow-up message is sent immediately

### Settings

* **Sending limit:** Up to 20 connection requests per day
* **Follow-ups:** Sent as LinkedIn DMs after the connection is accepted
* **Send without note:** Option to send a blank connection request (higher acceptance rate in some cases)

## LinkedIn Sales Navigator (Connection Request)

**Best for:** Cold outreach using Sales Navigator's advanced targeting.

Same workflow as the regular LinkedIn campaign, but operates through Sales Navigator. Requires a LinkedIn Sales Navigator license.

### How it works

1. You select recipients from your search results
2. Hyperscale sends a personalized connection request via Sales Navigator
3. Once the recipient accepts, follow-up messages are sent as direct messages
4. If the recipient is already in your network, the follow-up message is sent immediately

### Settings

* **Sending limit:** Up to 20 connection requests per day
* **Follow-ups:** Sent as Sales Navigator DMs after the connection is accepted

### Requirements

* Active LinkedIn Sales Navigator subscription
* Sales Navigator cookie connected in [Connect LinkedIn](/connect-accounts/connect-linkedin)

## LinkedIn DM Connections

**Best for:** Messaging people you're already connected with on LinkedIn.

This campaign skips the connection request step entirely and sends direct messages right away. Use this when you want to reach out to your existing LinkedIn network — for example, re-engaging past contacts or nurturing warm leads.

### How it works

1. You select recipients from your search results
2. Hyperscale sends a personalized direct message immediately
3. If a recipient is **not** connected with you, the message will fail and be marked as "not connected"
4. Follow-up messages are also sent as direct messages

### Settings

* **Sending limit:** Up to 20 messages per day
* **Follow-ups:** Sent as LinkedIn DMs to the same recipients

### When to use this

* You've already connected with your target audience
* You want to skip the connection request step for faster outreach
* You're re-engaging existing connections with a new offer or update

## LinkedIn Sales Navigator DM / InMail

**Best for:** Messaging via Sales Navigator, with InMail as a fallback for non-connections.

This campaign sends direct messages through Sales Navigator. If you have InMail credits and a recipient is not in your network, the message is sent as an InMail instead of a regular DM.

### How it works

1. You select recipients from your search results
2. Hyperscale sends a personalized message via Sales Navigator
3. For 1st degree connections, the message is sent as a regular DM
4. For non-connections, the message is sent as an InMail (uses your InMail credits)
5. Follow-up messages follow the same pattern

### Settings

* **Sending limit:** Up to 20 messages per day
* **Follow-ups:** Sent via Sales Navigator DM/InMail

### Requirements

* Active LinkedIn Sales Navigator subscription
* InMail credits available for messaging non-connections

## Choosing the Right Campaign Type

### Start with Connection Requests if:

* You're doing cold outreach to new prospects
* You want to build your LinkedIn network while selling
* You don't have InMail credits

### Start with DM Connections if:

* Your targets are already in your LinkedIn network
* You want to skip the connection request step
* You're running a re-engagement campaign

### Use Sales Navigator DM / InMail if:

* You have a Sales Navigator license with InMail credits
* You want to message anyone regardless of connection status
* You're targeting high-value prospects who may not accept connection requests

## Follow-Up Sequences

All LinkedIn campaign types support automated follow-up sequences:

* Set a delay (in days) between each follow-up
* Add multiple follow-up messages with different content
* Follow-ups are only sent if the recipient hasn't replied
* Follow-ups are always sent as LinkedIn DMs; for connection-request campaigns, follow-ups start after the connection request is accepted.

For more details on configuring follow-ups, see [Ideal Campaign Settings](/start-campaigns/start-a-campaign/ideal-campaign-settings).

# How to Draft Emails

Create personalized messages for every target

After sourcing leads in any method in the previous section, you will be prompted to draft your outreach message.

You can use your own template, or generate a draft with AI.

We currently generate emails and LinkedIn messages. You can draft connection request notes, direct messages, and follow-up messages for all [LinkedIn Campaign Types](/start-campaigns/start-a-campaign/linkedin-campaign-types).

## Use your own template

* Enter your Email Subject Line and Draft.
* Choose if you want to Personalize the template or use the same template for everyone.
  * Personalize the template: Our AI model will use your template as the base, and adapt to every lead based on their profile summary, occupation and headline on LinkedIn.
  * Same template: Our AI model will insert the name and company of every lead, and leave everything else the same.
* The bot will now generate an email for every one of your leads. This will show up in your Airtable Interfaces, under People.

## Generate a template

Outline your draft by telling Hyperscale's AI about:

1. **Product**: What you would like to sell. Include the product name and a brief description of what it does, e.g. "Mana, an AI assistant to automate sales."
2. **Content**: What you would like to say. Being specific about your value proposition could be helpful, e.g. "Help you to automate sales". This can be very short - 1-2 short bullets works well.
3. **Link to include:** Include a link to your website or a booking link for a meeting.

You can edit the email template in any way. When you are ready, click 'Next'.

Choose if you want to Personalize the template or use the same template for everyone.

* Personalize the template: Our AI model will use the edited template as the base, and adapt to every lead based on their profile summary, occupation and headline on LinkedIn.
* Same template: Our AI model will insert the name and company of every lead, and leave everything else the same.

The email template will then be adapted to each target customer identified.

All generated emails will be saved in your My Campaigns section.

## Advanced Personalization Instructions

Want more control over how the AI writes your messages? You can provide custom instructions that guide the AI's tone, style, and content.

### How to Use

1. Open your campaign and click **"💌 Outgoing Messages"**
2. Click **"✨ Personalize Messages"**
3. In the **Advanced Instructions** text box, type your custom instructions
4. Choose how to apply them:
   * **🧑‍🔬 Personalize 1 Message** — Generate a single message as a preview to check quality
   * **♻️ Overwrite All Messages** — Re-generate every message with your new instructions
   * **✨ Personalize Messages** — Only generate messages for leads that don't have content yet

### Example Instructions

* *"Write longer emails under 300 words."*
* *"Include my booking link: <https://calendly.com/yourname>"*
* *"Make it short and concise."*
* *"Use a casual, conversational tone."*
* *"Use emojis to make it more engaging."*
* *"Sound more like this email: \[paste an example]"*

You can combine multiple instructions — for example: *"Keep it under 3 sentences. Use a friendly tone. Always mention our free trial."*

### Instructions Are Saved

Your advanced instructions are **saved per campaign** and automatically loaded the next time you open the personalization dialog. You don't need to re-type them every time you want to re-personalize or add new leads.

{% hint style="info" %}
Advanced instructions work alongside the standard AI personalization — they act as additional guidance on top of the lead's profile data, headline, and occupation that the AI already uses.
{% endhint %}

# Ideal Campaign Settings

Set rules for number of reach-outs and follow-ups.

## Email Campaigns

* Enter the number of emails you would like to send per day.
* We recommend sending 10-20 per day to reduce the risk of being marked as spam. You can send up to 100, but only if your inbox has a long history and strong reputation. If you're starting fresh with outbound emails, stick with lower numbers to be safe.
* Set how long you would like to wait before sending a follow-up. We recommend between 2-3 days.
* Set the number of follow-ups you would like to send. We recommend between 1-2.

## LinkedIn Campaigns

* LinkedIn campaigns (connection requests and DMs) are limited to **20 actions per day** to stay within LinkedIn's usage guidelines.
* For connection request campaigns, follow-ups are sent as direct messages once the recipient accepts.
* For DM campaigns, the limit is **20 messages per day**.
* We recommend a follow-up delay of **3-5 days** for LinkedIn to feel more natural than email.
* Keep follow-up messages shorter and more conversational than email follow-ups.

Check the details, and then click Confirm to set up the Campaign.

# LinkedIn Activity Limits

Understand LinkedIn's platform limits so you can run campaigns safely and consistently.

LinkedIn enforces daily and weekly limits on connection requests, messages, and profile views to prevent spam and protect the platform. Understanding these limits helps you get the most out of your Hyperscale campaigns without triggering account restrictions.

Hyperscale automatically stays within safe thresholds, but knowing the underlying platform rules helps you plan outreach volume and set expectations.

{% hint style="info" %}
These limits are based on publicly available data and community reports as of 2025. LinkedIn does not officially publish all of its limits, and they can change without notice.
{% endhint %}

## Limits at a Glance

| Action                                      | Free LinkedIn    | Premium LinkedIn                    | Sales Navigator                     |

## Connection Requests

### Weekly limits

Plan for roughly **100 connection requests per week** across all account types. Premium and Sales Navigator users with a high Social Selling Index (SSI) score and consistent engagement can often reach around 200 per week — but start lower and only scale up once your acceptance rate stays above 35–45%.

### Daily pacing

Spread your weekly budget evenly across weekdays:

* **Free accounts:** \~20 connection requests per day
* **Premium / Sales Navigator:** up to 40 per day (if you qualify for the higher weekly cap)

Hyperscale limits LinkedIn campaigns to **20 connection requests per day** by default. This keeps you well within safe territory and avoids sudden spikes that LinkedIn's algorithms flag.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Consistency matters more than hitting maximum numbers. Avoid sending all your weekly requests in one or two days.
{% endhint %}

### Personalized notes on Free accounts

Free LinkedIn accounts are limited to roughly **5–10 personalized connection request notes per month**. If you're on a Free account, consider sending connection requests without a note — this also tends to have comparable or higher acceptance rates in many cases.

Premium and Sales Navigator accounts have no separate monthly cap on notes; you're limited only by the weekly invite allowance.

### What happens when you hit the cap

When you reach your weekly connection request limit, LinkedIn pauses new invites until the following week. This is a temporary cooldown, not a full account restriction — unless LinkedIn detects aggressive automation or policy violations.

## Messages

### Messages to connections

LinkedIn doesn't publish a hard limit for direct messages to 1st-degree connections, but based on platform data:

* **Free accounts:** aim for \~100 messages per week
* **Premium / Sales Navigator:** aim for \~150 messages per week

Ramp up gradually. Sending a large batch of messages from a previously quiet account triggers spam filters.

### InMail credits

InMails let you message people you're not connected with. Credits are allocated monthly and vary by plan:

* **Free:** 0 credits
* **Premium Business:** \~15/month
* **Sales Navigator Core:** \~50/month
* **Recruiter plans:** 30–150/month

Check your LinkedIn account settings for your exact allocation.

### Character limits

| Message Type                                | Limit            |
| ------------------------------------------- | ---------------- |
| Connection request note (Free)              | 200 characters   |
| Connection request note (Premium/Sales Nav) | 300 characters   |
| Regular DM                                  | 8,000 characters |
| InMail subject line                         | 200 characters   |
| InMail body                                 | 1,900 characters |
| Message attachment                          | 20 MB            |

## Profile Views

LinkedIn doesn't officially publish profile view limits, but exceeding perceived daily thresholds — especially with automation — can trigger restrictions. Estimated safe daily ranges:

| Account Type | Estimated Safe Range |
| -------------------------------------------- | -------------------- |
| Free LinkedIn                                | 80–250 profiles/day  |
| Premium LinkedIn                             | 80–250 profiles/day  |
| Sales Navigator (within Sales Nav interface) | 600–800 profiles/day |
| Sales Navigator (on linkedin.com)            | 100–150 profiles/day |

{% hint style="info" %}
Sales Navigator profile views have **much higher limits** when you browse within the Sales Navigator interface compared to viewing regular linkedin.com profiles.
{% endhint %}

## Warming Up Your LinkedIn Account

If you're starting LinkedIn outreach for the first time — or resuming after a long break — ramp up gradually over 2–3 weeks:

| Week    | Connection Requests/Day | Profile Views/Day        |
| ------- | ----------------------- | ------------------------ |
| Week 1  | 10–15                   | 50–100                   |
| Week 2  | 12–19                   | 60–125                   |
| Week 3  | 15–24                   | 75–155                   |
| Week 4+ | Hold steady or adjust | Based on acceptance rate |

After the warmup period, maintain a steady cadence. Target an acceptance rate above **35–45%** before considering further increases.

Hyperscale's daily limit of 20 connection requests is already a conservative, account-safe default — but if your LinkedIn account is brand new, consider starting at a lower custom limit for the first couple of weeks.

## What to Do If You Get Restricted

If LinkedIn temporarily restricts your account:

1. **Stop all outreach immediately** — pause your Hyperscale campaigns
2. **Wait it out** — first-time restrictions usually clear within a few hours to a few days
3. **Reduce volume** — when you resume, drop your daily limits by 40–60% for the next week
4. **Increase delays** — space out your actions more than before
5. **Check your acceptance rate** — low acceptance rates signal to LinkedIn that your outreach isn't relevant

Repeated violations can lead to longer restrictions or permanent account flags. If you receive a more severe restriction, you may need to contact LinkedIn support to appeal.

## Improving Your Social Selling Index (SSI)

Your SSI score reflects how actively and effectively you use LinkedIn for professional engagement. A higher SSI gives you more trust with LinkedIn's algorithms and typically correlates with higher connection request allowances.

To improve your SSI:

* **Complete your profile** — photo, headline, summary, experience
* **Share relevant content** — posts, articles, comments on industry topics
* **Engage meaningfully** — comment on others' posts, join conversations
* **Build your network** — connect with people in your industry

You can check your SSI score at [linkedin.com/sales/ssi](https://www.linkedin.com/sales/ssi).

## Tips for Maximizing Outreach Within Limits

* **Quality over quantity** — targeted, personalized outreach to well-matched leads consistently outperforms high-volume generic messages
* **Use InMails strategically** — save them for high-value prospects who aren't in your network
* **Leverage Open Profiles** — some Premium users enable Open Profile, which lets you message them without a connection request or InMail credit
* **Engage via Groups and Events** — you can message fellow group members and event attendees directly, which doesn't count against your connection request limits
* **Distribute across your team** — if you need higher volume, spread outreach across multiple team members' LinkedIn accounts rather than pushing one account past its limits

Once a Campaign has been setup, you can view their performance and change settings at any time. You can manage your campaigns here: <https://app.gethyperscale.com/campaigns>

* Click My Campaigns
* Choose your campaign type:
  * **Email** — Personalized email sequences
  * **LinkedIn** — Connection requests + follow-up DMs
  * **LinkedIn Sales Navigator** — Connection requests via Sales Navigator
  * **LinkedIn DM Connections** — Direct messages to existing connections
  * **LinkedIn Sales Navigator DM / InMail** — Messages via Sales Navigator with InMail fallback
* Choose the specific campaign you want to browse
* You can Activate/Deactivate the campaign
* If you would like to change any of the campaign settings, click "Edit Campaign"
* Click 🗑️ to delete the campaign entirely
  * Your search results will not be deleted

## Export Campaign Messages

You can export all personalized messages from a campaign as a CSV file — useful for reviewing messages offline or using them in other tools.

1. Open a campaign and click **"Edit Campaign"**
2. Scroll to the bottom of the message sequence
3. Click **"📥 Export All Messages"**

The CSV includes one row per lead with the following columns:

* **Full Name**, **Email**, **LinkedIn URL**
* **Initial Subject** and **Initial Message**
* **Follow-up Subject** and **Follow-up Message** for each follow-up step

{% hint style="info" %}
For **LinkedIn campaigns**, subject line columns are omitted since LinkedIn messages don't have subject lines.
{% endhint %}

You must personalize messages before exporting — if no messages have been generated yet, you'll be prompted to personalize first.

# CRM Integrations

## CRM Integrations

Automatically sync your enriched leads to HubSpot or Close.io CRM systems.

### Overview

Hyperscale integrates with popular CRM platforms to automatically create and update contacts and companies as you find and enrich leads. No manual CSV exports or imports needed.

### Supported CRMs

#### HubSpot

✅ Contacts sync ✅ Companies sync ✅ Notes with enrichment data ✅ Company deduplication ✅ OAuth connection

#### Close.io

✅ Leads sync ✅ Companies sync ✅ Notes with profile data ✅ OAuth connection

### How It Works

1. **Connect your CRM** in Account Settings
2. **Complete a search** with verified leads
3. **Automatic sync** when search completes
4. **View synced data** in your CRM

All enriched data is automatically pushed to your CRM.

***

## HubSpot Integration

### Connecting HubSpot

1. Go to **Account Settings** → **Connected Accounts**
2. Click **Connect HubSpot**
3. Sign in to your HubSpot account
4. Authorize Hyperscale to connect with your CRM
5. Connection complete!

### What Gets Synced

#### Contact Data

When a lead is verified, Hyperscale creates or updates a HubSpot contact with:

**Core Information:**

* Name
* Verified business email address
* Phone number (if requested)

**Professional Information:**

* Relevant publicly available details
* Company association
* Contact information

#### Company Data

For each unique company, Hyperscale creates or updates:

**Company Information:**

* Company name and website
* Publicly available company details

**Additional Information** (added as notes):

* Publicly available company data
* Business intelligence
* Company background

### Company Deduplication

**Problem**: Multiple contacts from the same company could create duplicate company records.

**Solution**: Hyperscale automatically prevents duplicates:

1. Before creating a company, searches HubSpot by domain (e.g., "salesforce.com")
2. If found, associates the contact with the existing company
3. If not found, creates a new company

**Result**: One company record per unique domain, even when syncing hundreds of contacts.

### Authentication

HubSpot connections are maintained automatically. Hyperscale handles authentication renewal behind the scenes, ensuring uninterrupted syncing.

If you see authentication errors, disconnect and reconnect HubSpot in Account Settings.

### Troubleshooting

#### "HubSpot connection failed"

* Reconnect in Account Settings
* Verify you have admin permissions in HubSpot
* Check that required permissions were granted

#### "Duplicate companies created"

This should be rare due to deduplication logic. If you see duplicates:

* Merge them in HubSpot
* Email <support@gethyperscale.com> with company name

#### "Contact not syncing"

* Verify the contact has a verified email
* Check that HubSpot connection is active
* Look for error messages in search results page

#### "Company enrichment data missing"

Some companies may not have enrichment data available. This is normal and depends on public data availability.

***

## Close.io Integration

### Connecting Close.io

1. Go to **Account Settings** → **Connected Accounts**
2. Click **Connect Close.io**
3. Sign in to your Close.io account
4. Authorize Hyperscale to access your CRM
5. Connection complete!

**Required Permissions:**

* Read/write leads
* Read/write contacts
* Read/write notes

### What Gets Synced

#### Lead Data

When a search completes, Hyperscale creates or updates Close.io leads with:

**Contact Information:**

* Name
* Verified business email
* Phone number (if enriched)

**Professional Information:**

* Company details
* Publicly available business information

#### Notes

Hyperscale adds formatted notes with:

* 👤 Professional information
* 💼 Company details
* 📊 Business intelligence
* 🔗 Relevant links

### Lead Deduplication

Similar to HubSpot, Close.io integration checks for existing leads before creating new ones:

* Searches by email address
* Updates existing lead if found
* Creates new lead if not found

### Troubleshooting

#### "Close.io connection failed"

* Reconnect in Account Settings
* Verify you have appropriate permissions
* Check permissions were granted during connection

#### "Lead not syncing"

* Verify the contact has a verified email
* Check that Close.io connection is active
* Review search results for error messages

***

## General CRM Sync

### When Does Sync Happen?

Syncing occurs automatically when:

* A search completes
* All requested leads have verified emails
* CRM integration is connected and active

**Note**: Syncing is asynchronous. It may take 1-2 minutes after search completion for all contacts to appear in your CRM.

### Disconnecting Your CRM

To disconnect:

1. Go to **Account Settings** → **Connected Accounts**
2. Click **Disconnect** next to your CRM
3. Confirm disconnection

**Note**: Disconnecting does NOT delete data already synced to your CRM. It only stops future syncs.

### Data Privacy

* Only verified, enriched leads are synced
* All data comes from public professional sources
* You control when syncing happens (connect/disconnect)
* Synced data follows your CRM's retention policies

### Multiple CRM Support

You can connect both HubSpot and Close.io simultaneously. Leads will sync to both CRMs automatically.

***

## Best Practices

### 1. Connect CRM Before Searching

Connect your CRM before running searches to ensure all new leads sync automatically.

### 2. Clean Up Duplicates Regularly

Even with deduplication, edge cases can occur. Review your CRM periodically for duplicates and merge them.

### 3. Customize CRM Fields

After the initial sync, you can customize how Hyperscale data appears in your CRM. Contact support for customization options.

### 4. Use CRM Filters

Create saved filters in your CRM to quickly view:

* Leads from Hyperscale (Source: "Hyperscale")
* Recently synced contacts
* Contacts with phone numbers

### 5. Monitor for Errors

Check your search results page for any sync errors. Common issues are usually token expiration or permission problems.

# Connect Email

Connect your email account to send messages and track replies

{% embed url="<https://app.supademo.com/embed/clr7ymazc0kp4pekqfmimcb77>" %}

### **Step 1: Connect your email accounts**

* Go to your [Account](https://app.gethyperscale.com/account) page
* Click **Continue with Gmail** or **Continue with Outlook**
  * **Outlook (Office 365 users):** Please check you have [enabled sending permissions](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/authenticated-client-smtp-submission#enable-smtp-auth-for-specific-mailboxes).&#x20;
* Alternatively, you can click **Continue with SMTP** and enter your SMTP credentials
  * Note: Google and Outlook options are recommended over SMTP to due to better deliverability (i.e. less likely to be blocked or labeled as Spam)

### **Step 2: Test your connection**

* Click Test
* Enter the email you want to send a test email to (ideally your own inbox)
* Send email and see if you received an email in that inbox
* If you received the test email, your connection was successful

### Step 3: Check you have DMARC, SPF, DKIM records properly set up

* This ensures higher deliverability so you land in inboxes, rather than spam
* If you fail any checks, visit [How to authenticate email (DKIM, DMARC, SPF)](/email-best-practices/how-to-authenticate-email-dkim-dmarc-spf) for further instructions

# Connect LinkedIn

Use your LinkedIn account to source leads and send DMs

Connecting your LinkedIn allows you to:&#x20;

1. Extract contact details based on LinkedIn search URLs
2. Send personalized connection requests and DMs

We accomplish this by using your LinkedIn cookie and Browser User Agent.

Note: if you run into issues, we recommend turning off 2-factor authentication on your LinkedIn account as LinkedIn may cause issues with using automation tools. If LinkedIn requires you to turn it on while using Sales Navigator, you can temporarily turn it on and then off once you're done using Sales Navigator. Alternatively, setting up a [Passkey on LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/mypreferences/d/passkey) should dismiss the 2FA requirement.

### How to find your cookie

#### Easy Method

Download the Hyperscale [Chrome Extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/hyperscale-automate-sales/emigilbnlehoffmdagbfdlpdoafcdmfp) to automatically retrieve your LinkedIn Session Cookie and easily access Hyperscale.

Every time you visit the [LinkedIn connection](https://app.gethyperscale.com/account/linkedin) page on Hyperscale, the cookie will automatically refresh before you click Save.

#### Manual Method

{% embed url="<https://app.supademo.com/demo/2h7wKFFdCOHS7kfOYjwI->" %}
Click through the video instructions below, or read our detailed description.
{% endembed %}

* Click Connect LinkedIn
* Go to <https://www.linkedin.com>
* Right Click anywhere, then click Inspect
* Click 'Applications' in your right panel
* Click 'Cookies', then [www.linkedin.com](http://www.linkedin.com)
* Find your 'li\_at' cookie
* Copy the cookie and paste it into Hyperscale
* Click **Save**

### How often you need to refresh your cookie

Each time you manually log in or out of LinkedIn in any browser, your cookie expires and you will need to update your new cookie in Hyperscale.&#x20;

Generally, most people will not manually log in or out of LinkedIn purposely so their cookie will not require updates.

# Multiple LinkedIn Accounts

Connect more than one LinkedIn profile and choose which account each campaign or search sends from.

Your primary LinkedIn account is the one you [connect with the Chrome extension or cookie](/connect-accounts/connect-linkedin). If you use the Chrome extension, its session is refreshed for you automatically; if you connected it by pasting a cookie manually, you keep it up to date yourself. You can also connect **additional (secondary) LinkedIn accounts** — for example an agency profile, a teammate's profile, or a second brand — and pick which account runs each campaign or search.

Additional accounts are managed from the [LinkedIn connection page](https://app.gethyperscale.com/account/linkedin), under **Additional LinkedIn Accounts**.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can connect up to **5 LinkedIn accounts** in total (your primary plus up to four additional accounts).
{% endhint %}

## How additional accounts differ from your primary

The Chrome extension only keeps your **primary** account's session cookie fresh. Additional accounts are connected by pasting their session cookie manually, so:

* There's no automatic refresh for them — when a secondary account's LinkedIn session expires, click **Reconnect** on that account and paste a fresh cookie.
* The dashboard banner will warn you when an additional account needs reconnecting.
* Hyperscale never silently sends from a different profile. If an account isn't valid, campaigns assigned to it wait rather than sending from someone else, and searches assigned to it fail and refund their credits so you can re-run them once the account is working.

## Connecting an additional account

You'll need the `li_at` session cookie for the account you want to add. Because you're likely already logged into your primary account in your main browser, the easiest approach is to log into the second account in a **separate browser or Chrome profile**.

1. Go to the [LinkedIn connection page](https://app.gethyperscale.com/account/linkedin) and scroll to **Additional LinkedIn Accounts**.
2. Click **+ Add LinkedIn Account**.
3. Log into the LinkedIn account you want to add (in another browser or Chrome profile), then copy its `li_at` session cookie. The steps for finding the cookie are the same as for your primary account — see [Connect LinkedIn](/connect-accounts/connect-linkedin#how-to-find-your-cookie).
4. Give the account a name under **Account Name** (e.g. "Agency" or "Jane's profile") so you can tell your accounts apart later.
5. Paste the cookie into **LinkedIn Session Cookie (li\_at)**.
6. Click **Add Account**.

Hyperscale records your browser's user agent along with the cookie automatically, so you don't need to enter it separately.

{% hint style="info" %}
Each additional account needs its own name, and names must be unique across your accounts. That name is what appears in the account selector on campaigns and searches, and on your campaign cards.
{% endhint %}

## Testing an account's connection

After adding an account — or any time you suspect its session has expired — you can verify the cookie is working.

* Find the account under **Additional LinkedIn Accounts** and click **Test Connection**.
* The test runs a quick check against LinkedIn and can take a couple of minutes.
* A passing test shows a green **✓** with **Connected as&#x20;*****\[profile name]*** (or **Cookie is working**).
* A failing test shows a red **✗** with the reason — usually that the cookie is invalid or expired and needs reconnecting.

Each account shows a status dot and label at a glance:

* 🟢 **Connected** — the cookie is valid and the account can send.
* 🔴 **Invalid** / **Expired** — the session is no longer usable; reconnect the account (see below).
* ⚪ **Unknown** — the account hasn't been checked yet; run a connection test.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Only one connection test runs at a time. Wait for a test to finish before starting another.
{% endhint %}

## Reconnecting an account

When an account's session expires, refresh it in place rather than removing it:

1. Log into that LinkedIn account and copy its fresh `li_at` session cookie.
2. Click **Reconnect** on the account under **Additional LinkedIn Accounts**.
3. Paste the new cookie and click **Reconnect**.

{% hint style="info" %}
Reconnecting updates the existing account, so **any campaigns and searches that send from it keep working**. Don't remove and re-add an account just to refresh its cookie — that creates a new account, and campaigns bound to the old one are paused and have to be reassigned.
{% endhint %}

## Removing an additional account

Removing an account deletes its stored session cookie from Hyperscale.

1. Find the account under **Additional LinkedIn Accounts** and click the 🗑️ (trash) icon.
2. Review the confirmation dialog. If any campaigns currently send from this account, they're listed here.
3. Click **Remove** to confirm.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Any campaign that sends from the removed account is automatically paused.** This is deliberate — Hyperscale won't quietly move those campaigns onto a different LinkedIn profile. To resume a paused campaign, edit it, choose another connected account under **LinkedIn Account**, and reactivate it.
{% endhint %}

## Choosing which account runs a campaign or search

Once you have more than one account connected, you choose the sender wherever LinkedIn outreach starts.

### On a campaign

When you create or edit a LinkedIn campaign, use the **LinkedIn Account** selector to pick **Send from which LinkedIn account**. In the list:

* Your primary account is marked **(primary)** and is used by default.
* An account that needs attention is marked **— needs reconnect**.

A campaign must send from a valid account before it can be activated. If the selected account needs reconnecting, or you haven't picked one, activation is blocked with a prompt to fix it first. On your campaign list, each LinkedIn campaign shows **💼 Sends as:&#x20;*****\[account name]*** so you can confirm at a glance which profile it uses.

### On a search

LinkedIn URL and Sales Navigator searches have the same **LinkedIn Account** selector — **Search with which LinkedIn account**. It defaults to your primary account. Choose the account you want the search to run under before starting it.

{% hint style="info" %}
If a search is started against an account that can't send (expired or removed), the search fails and any credits it reserved are refunded — reconnect the account and run the search again.
{% endhint %}

# How to authenticate email (DKIM, DMARC, SPF)

The following requires someone with admin access to your domain to complete. It is highly recommended you do this to reduce likelihood of ending up in the spam folder.

### What is email authentication? <a href="#what-is-email-authentication" id="what-is-email-authentication"></a>

Email authentication is a daunting subject. There’s often an alphabet soup of acronyms and initialisms. But the core concepts are not complicated, and most everyone will be able to quickly understand them.\
\
Email authentication is a process used to verify the legitimacy and integrity of an email message. It establishes trust between senders and recipients by ensuring your identity is verified.\
\
Email authentication relies on several methods and standards, including the following:

* Sender Policy Framework (SPF)
* DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM)
* Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance (DMARC)
* Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI)

### Quick Steps: <a href="#how-to-authenticate-email" id="how-to-authenticate-email"></a>

1. Run a quick test to see what DNS records you need to set up using one of the following tools:
   1. <https://aboutmy.email/>
   2. <https://dmarcian.com/>
2. Open your domain host (e.g. GoDaddy, Route53, NameCheap, Hover, etc.) and go to DNS settings
3. Use a tool like [EasyDMARC](https://partners.easydmarc.com/ekua081oiuhv) to check if you currently have any DMARC, SPF, DKIM records set up already. If they're not setup correctly, go to your DNS settings and add these records.
   1. A SPF record should look like this (varies depending on what services you use):&#x20;
      1. Google Workspace: `v=spf1 include:_spf.smtp.com include:_spf.google.com ~all`
      2. MS/Azure: `v=spf1 include:_spf.smtp.com include:spf.protection.outlook.com ~all`
   2. A DMARC record should look like this (varies depending on what settings you want): `"v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:dmarc-reports@yourdomain.com; pct=10"`
   3. Hyperscale sends directly from your Google and Outlook account, so we will not need DKIM.
4. **Setup BIMI (Brand Indicators):** Create a TXT record referring to a public link with your logo (.svg format). It should look something like this: `"v=BIMI1;l=https://company-prod.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/company_logo.svg"`

#### Detailed Steps <a href="#id-1-use-consistent-sender-addresses" id="id-1-use-consistent-sender-addresses"></a>

*Credit to SendGrid for creating the following guide:*

#### 1. Use consistent sender addresses <a href="#id-1-use-consistent-sender-addresses" id="id-1-use-consistent-sender-addresses"></a>

Be consistent with the from addresses and friendly from names you use. It can be tempting to have subscribers open a message out of curiosity, but trust in a message starts with a recipient easily recognizing the sender as a brand they trust. Constantly changing from names and from addresses makes your recipients more susceptible to phishing.\
\
Similarly, avoid using cousin domains or domains that are slight variations of your standard brand's domain, as this also erodes trust in your messages and trains recipients to be more susceptible to phishing attacks. For example, if your domain is example.com, you'll want to avoid using a similar domain like examplemail.com.

#### 2. Authenticate your IP addresses with SPF <a href="#id-2-authenticate-your-ip-addresses-with-spf" id="id-2-authenticate-your-ip-addresses-with-spf"></a>

SPF stands for Sender Policy Framework and compares the email sender’s actual IP address to a list of IP addresses authorized to send mail from that domain. The SPF record is added to a sender's domain name system (DNS) and contains a list of authorized IP addresses. SPF records are TXT type DNS records that look like this:

```
"v=spf1 include:_spf.smtp.com include:_spf.google.com ~all"
```

#### 3. Configure DKIM signatures for your messages <a href="#id-3-configure-dkim-signatures-for-your-messages" id="id-3-configure-dkim-signatures-for-your-messages"></a>

DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is an authentication standard that cryptographically signs the messages you send so that receiving servers are confident there was no altering of the message in transit.

To find your DKIM TXT record, click Generate New Record in your [Google Admin Panel](https://admin.google.com/u/1/ac/apps/gmail/authenticateemail). Add this to your DNS records as a TXT file. The Host Name and TXT record should look something like below:

<figure><img src="/files/qnXcauH4ALR6BMjhBe6D" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### 4. Protect your domain with DMARC authentication <a href="#id-4-protect-your-domain-with-dmarc-authentication" id="id-4-protect-your-domain-with-dmarc-authentication"></a>

Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC) is a protocol that uses SPF and DKIM to further prevent phishers from spoofing messages.\
\
A DMARC record is published alongside your DNS records and requires both SPF and DKIM to pass. It also requires the from address domain and the domain used in the message's authentication to match. The DMARC record allows the owner of the domain to both instruct receiving servers what to do with messages that appear to be spoofed (such as block them outright or put them in the spam folder) as well as receive forensic reports regarding failed messages and potential spoofing of the domain.&#x20;

Post on [how to implement DMARC](https://sendgrid.com/en-us/blog/what-is-dmarc).&#x20;

#### 5. Prepare for BIMI <a href="#id-5-prepare-for-bimi" id="id-5-prepare-for-bimi"></a>

In short, this makes your emails show up with a logo and stand out in an inbox.

Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) is an extra bit of goodness atop the authentication cake that provides an even better inbox trust experience for your recipients. For senders with a good sending reputation, DMARC in place and at enforcement, and a published BIMI record, BIMI will allow them to provide their brand's logo in the inbox so that subscribers can quickly and easily identify their message as trusted.\
\
In terms of authentication, BIMI is the only visual clue a typical email user can use to identify a message’s source and authenticity.

Google details how to create a BMI record [here](https://apps.google.com/supportwidget/articlehome?hl=en\&article_url=https%3A%2F%2Fsupport.google.com%2Fa%2Fanswer%2F10911321%3Fhl%3Den\&assistant_id=generic-unu\&product_context=10911321\&product_name=UnuFlow\&trigger_context=a).

It is also important to use an SVG logo in Tiny PS format. More details [here](https://www.entrust.com/knowledgebase/ssl/how-to-convert-your-svg-logo-to-tiny-ps-format-for-use-in-verified-mark-certificates).

### Further explanations <a href="#sender-policy-framework" id="sender-policy-framework"></a>

#### Sender Policy Framework <a href="#sender-policy-framework" id="sender-policy-framework"></a>

SPF allows a sender to verify their authenticity. Let’s think about it this way: if you receive a letter in your mailbox printed on official letterhead, you can be reasonably sure that it’s authentic. So another way to think of an email that passes SPF is a certified letter from the post office. There is a tracking number provided, and you can verify who the sender is by calling the post office.\
\
SPF is also similar to confirming a return address. If you received a letter where the business name didn’t match any businesses listed at the letter’s return address, you would be rightly skeptical of that letter. This kind of check is usually unnecessary for physical mail, but it’s necessary for email messages, too, because it’s easy to send a message claiming to be from someone else.\
\
During SPF, a receiving email server can ask the domain that the email claims to be from for a list of IP addresses that are allowed to send email on that domain’s behalf. If the domain doesn’t list the originating server as a valid sender, then the email is most likely not genuine and the SPF check will fail.

#### DomainKeys Identified Mail <a href="#domainkeys-identified-mail" id="domainkeys-identified-mail"></a>

DKIM is like a wax seal on a letter. Before reliable postal infrastructure, letters were authenticated with a sealing wax embossed with a signet ring belonging to the sender. The hardened wax bonded with the parchment and made it nearly impossible to tamper with the letter without leaving evidence.\
\
Let’s imagine another way to ensure the authenticity of the sender. Think of a box with a locking drawer and a locking lid. The drawer can only be locked with the sender’s key. We’ll call this key the sender’s private key.\
\
The lid can be locked and unlocked by a key that is freely available. Anybody can request a copy of the key. In fact, the sender has provided all of the post offices along the delivery route with a copy of this key. We’ll call this the public key.\
\
Under the lid is a pane of glass. By unlocking the lid anyone can inspect the package through the glass, but cannot tamper with it without breaking the glass and leaving evidence. Upon inspection, an interested party can confirm the official letterhead, see that the glass is intact, and verify that the drawer is locked with the key that only the sender has. Each post office along the way opens the lid to make sure that the package is still intact.\
\
DKIM works in a similar way to this box. The sender has a cryptographic private key that is used to encode the message headers. The public key is made available on a decentralized public internet registry called the DNS or Domain Name System. Any of the servers involved in passing the message along to the final destination can retrieve the public key and decrypt the headers to verify that the message is valid.

#### Domain Message Authentication Reporting and Conformance <a href="#domain-message-authentication-reporting-and-conformance" id="domain-message-authentication-reporting-and-conformance"></a>

Imagine that someone sends you one of these fancy double lockboxes. The courier bringing the package performs one final check before delivering it. She looks up the delivery conformance policy for the sender of the package. Their policy says that the package should have originated from a trusted address (SPF).\
\
The package should also have been in a locked box from a trusted source holding a private key and should be verifiably unaltered in transit (DKIM). The policy further stipulates that if the SPF and DKIM conditions are not met, the courier should quarantine the package and inform the sender of the violation.\
\
This policy is analogous to a [Domain Message Authentication Reporting and Conformance ](https://sendgrid.com/en-us/blog/what-is-dmarc)policy. DMARC is the latest authentication tool, built on both SPF and DKIM. It’s a way for senders to inform recipients which authentication methods to check for and what to do if a message claiming to be from them does not pass the required checks. Instructions might include marking the message as quarantined and therefore likely to be suspicious or rejecting the message completely.\
\
You might wonder why senders would ever want to allow messages that don’t pass DMARC to be delivered. DMARC also provides a feedback loop so senders can monitor whether emails that appear to be originating from their domains are conforming with the policy or not.

#### What email authentication means for senders <a href="#what-email-authentication-means-for-senders" id="what-email-authentication-means-for-senders"></a>

With DMARC, domain owners finally have full control over the “from” address over that appears in a recipient’s’ email client. Large mailbox providers like [Yahoo!](https://sendgrid.com/blog/yahoo-dmarc-update/) and [AOL](https://sendgrid.com/en-us/blog/aol-dmarc-update) have already implemented strict policies. Emails that appear to originate from these domains but that fail authentication checks will get dropped. You can view updates on [Gmail here](https://support.google.com/a/answer/2466580?hl=en) and on [Microsoft here](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/securitycompliance/use-dmarc-to-validate-email).\
\
What this means is that you should never send from domains that are not configured to allow your server via DKIM and SPF. If you send emails on behalf of clients, you’ll want to ensure your clients have the correct DNS entries in place to enable this.\
\
For recipients, the increased popularity of these technologies means a reduction in phishing and spam emails that get delivered. And that’s always a good thing.

# Multiple Email Addresses vs Domains

We recommend sending 20 per day for new email accounts and no more than 100/day to keep your inbox from being flagged as spam by Gmail.

### Email Limitations

Popular services like Gmail and Outlook recently made [changes](https://blog.google/products/gmail/gmail-security-authentication-spam-protection/) to curtail the amount of spam that gets sent. As a result, you should send **no more than 100 emails per day** to reduce likelihood of always ending up in the spam folder or getting blocked completely.

The exception is if you have a long history of being a reputable brand (think at least a small-cap company that has been sending emails for years).

### Workarounds

There is an ongoing debate in the community about whether or not this applies per email address (e.g. <hello@.gethyperscale.com>), per email domain (e.g. @gethyperscale.com), or per email subdomain (e.g. @mail.gethyperscale.com)

#### High-risk solution

Create multiple emails (e.g. <taylor@gethyperscale.com> and <travis@gethyperscale.com>) for the same domain and send 20-100 per day from each email address.

This can get your entire domain flagged.

This means buying 1 domain and creating multiple email addresses.

#### Medium-risk solution (most common practice)

Create multiple subdomains (e.g. <taylor@ttpd.gethyperscale.com> and <taylor@1989.gethyperscale.com>) for the same parent domain and send 20-100 per day from each email subdomain.

This means buying 1 domain, and then creating multiple subdomains with individually [verified records](/email-best-practices/how-to-authenticate-email-dkim-dmarc-spf).

#### Low-risk solution

Use multiple domains and send from 1 email address per domain (e.g. <taylor@folklore.com> and <taylor@evermore.com>) send 20-100 per day from each domain.

This means buying multiple domains with individually [verified records](/email-best-practices/how-to-authenticate-email-dkim-dmarc-spf).

### **Absolute limits**

Even if you create subdomains, there are still absolute limits to be aware of at the overall domain level.

You may only send up to 5,000 emails to personal Gmail accounts within a 24-hour period. This is the total of your domain AND subdomains (e.g. mail.domain.com and domain.com).

Note: On Hyperscale, you generally won't run into this limit issue since we focus on B2B emails (e.g. <person@company.com>) rather than personal @gmail.com emails.

**Regardless of which option you choose, it's worth considering** [**warming up**](/email-best-practices/warming-up-new-email-addresses) **your inbox for fresh new emails addresses.**

# Warming Up New Email Addresses

Note: there is an ongoing debate within the community about whether or not Gmail and Outlook have gotten smarter about detecting warm-ups. So proceed with caution.

You can use tools to ["warm up"](/email-best-practices/warming-up-new-email-addresses) new email accounts to boost deliverability by using [Warmbox](https://www.warmbox.ai/?fpr=hyperscale) or [Inbox Warmup](https://app.warmupinbox.com/signup?code=4yLVD6Yeb).

Warm-ups will start sending emails on your behalf to dummy inboxes. Then those dummy inboxes will reply to those emails, creating a feeling of valid emails occurring from your email address.

Generally, it's best to slowly ramp up sending activity yourself rather than use a 3rd party service. This means sending 5-10 emails/day from a brand new domain/sub-domain and slowly increasing volume towards 50-100/day after 3-6 months.

# Tracking & Deliverability

Understanding how email tracking works — and when it backfires — is critical for cold outreach. This page explains why we focus on reply and bounce detection rather than open/click tracking, and how you can maximize inbox placement.

## Why We Don't Use Tracking Pixels

A tracking pixel is a tiny invisible image (1x1 pixel) embedded in an email. When the recipient's mail client loads the image, the sender knows the email was "opened."

**Why this hurts your deliverability:**

* **Spam filter signal.** Gmail and Outlook flag emails that load images from known tracking domains. Even one pixel from a shared tracking service correlates your email with thousands of other cold emailers on the same platform.
* **Forces HTML.** Plain-text emails can't carry pixels. Injecting one forces the email into HTML format, which itself scores worse with spam filters for cold first-touch messages.
* **Shared domain penalty.** If the tracking pixel loads from a shared domain (like `track.somesaas.com`), every sender using that service contributes to the domain's reputation — one bad actor tanks everyone.

**Why open rates are unreliable anyway:**

* **Apple Mail Privacy Protection** pre-fetches all images automatically, marking every email as "opened" even if the recipient never looked at it.
* **Gmail image proxying** caches images server-side, which can inflate counts or delay detection.
* **Corporate email security** (Barracuda, Mimecast) pre-loads all images to scan for threats, generating false opens.

The result: open rates from tracking pixels are both inaccurate and damaging to deliverability. They're a vanity metric for cold outreach.

## Link Click Tracking: Proceed with Caution

Link click tracking works by routing links through a redirect service that logs the click before forwarding to the real destination. It's more reliable than pixels (a click requires real human action), but carries its own risks.

**When links hurt deliverability:**

* **Shared redirect domains** (e.g., `track.instantly.ai`, `click.mailchimp.com`) are the biggest risk. Spam filters learn to associate these domains with bulk mail. Using one ties your sender reputation to every other user of that service.
* **URL shorteners** (bit.ly, tinyurl, etc.) are heavily penalized and sometimes outright blacklisted in cold email. Never use them.
* **Too many links** in a cold first-touch email trigger spam filters regardless of the domain. Keep it to one link maximum.

**When links are fine:**

* A single, natural-looking link to your website or a relevant resource.
* Links on your own domain or a subdomain you control (e.g., `resources.yourdomain.com`).
* Follow-up emails (2nd, 3rd touch) where a relationship has been started.

**Best practice:** If you include a link, make it one clear call-to-action on a domain you own. Don't use link tracking services for cold outreach.

## What Hyperscale Tracks (and Why It's Better)

Instead of unreliable pixel-based metrics, Hyperscale focuses on the signals that actually predict whether your outreach is working:

### Reply Detection

The strongest engagement signal possible — someone cared enough to write back. Hyperscale automatically detects replies across Gmail, Outlook, and SMTP, filtering out bounces, auto-responses, and out-of-office messages so you only see real human responses.

### Bounce Detection

Hard bounces (permanent failures like "user not found") are automatically flagged. This protects your sender reputation by ensuring you don't keep hitting dead addresses. Soft bounces (temporary issues like full mailboxes) are tracked separately and not penalized.

### Why Replies > Opens

In cold outreach, opens don't predict conversion. Someone "opening" your email (or their mail client pre-fetching it) tells you nothing actionable. A reply tells you they're interested, have questions, or want to engage — that's the signal you can act on.

## Tips for Maximum Deliverability

1. **Use plain text for first-touch emails.** No HTML formatting means no pixel is possible, the email looks personal (like a real human wrote it), and spam filters score it better.
2. **One link maximum.** If you need a CTA, make it one clean URL on your own domain. No tracking redirects, no shorteners.
3. **Personalization over tracking.** A well-personalized email gets replies. Replies are the metric that matters. Invest time in writing relevant messages rather than measuring who glanced at a generic one.
4. **Warm up gradually.** New domains and email addresses need time to build reputation. Start with 5-10 emails/day and ramp up over weeks. See our [Warming Up New Email Addresses](/email-best-practices/warming-up-new-email-addresses) guide.
5. **Authenticate your domain.** Properly configured SPF, DKIM, and DMARC dramatically improve inbox placement. See our [Email Authentication Guide](/email-best-practices/how-to-authenticate-email-dkim-dmarc-spf).
6. **Monitor bounces.** High bounce rates destroy sender reputation faster than anything else. Use verified email addresses (Hyperscale verifies emails before they reach your campaign) and remove bounced contacts immediately.

# Cosmetic Updates

When sending cold emails, it's helpful to make you look as friendly as possible. Allowing your profile photo to be viewed as a sending makes your email stand out in inboxes.

To enable this feature, go [here](https://myaccount.google.com/profile?continue=https%3A%2F%2Fmyaccount.google.com%2Fdata-and-privacy%3Futm_source%3Dchrome-profile-chooser\&utm_source=chrome-profile-chooser) in Google account setting. Then click the visibility button and set it to **Visible to anyone.**

<figure><img src="/files/TVX7r0OOWGbRIKQfgBka" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

While you're there, make sure your Name & pronunciation are added correctly. This means someone will see your name (e.g. Jane Smith) instead of <jsmith@mail.xyz.com>.&#x20;

# Credits & Pricing

Understand how Hyperscale's credit system works and what you pay for.

## What Are Credits?

Credits are Hyperscale's currency for lead enrichment. You use credits to:

* Find and verify email addresses
* Enrich LinkedIn profiles
* Find phone numbers
* Process CSV uploads

**Key Principle**: You only pay for leads with verified emails. Unlike other tools, failed enrichments are automatically refunded.

## Credit Costs

### Lead Enrichment

**Credits per lead with verified email**

Includes:

* ✅ LinkedIn profile data
* ✅ Verified business email address
* ✅ Current job title and company
* ✅ Company details (website, industry, size)
* ✅ Location information

**You are NOT charged for:**

* ❌ Leads where no email was found
* ❌ Leads that failed verification
* ❌ Duplicate leads (we have an automatic deduplication process)

### Phone Number Enrichment

**Additional credits per lead** (optional, in addition to base cost)

Includes:

* ✅ Direct dial phone numbers
* ✅ Mobile phone numbers (when available)

Phone enrichment costs more than email-only enrichment. Check your subscription page for current pricing.

### CSV Enrichment

Same pricing as regular searches:

* **Credits per successfully enriched contact**
* **Additional credits for phone numbers** (if enabled)
* Automatic refunds for failed enrichments

## How Billing Works

### 1. Upfront Charge

When you start a search, Hyperscale charges estimated credits upfront based on the number of leads you requested.

**Example:**

* Request 100 leads
* Estimated charge: 100 leads × X credits per lead

### 2. Automatic Refunds

After enrichment completes, you're refunded for any leads that failed to verify.

**Example continued:**

* 85 leads successfully verified
* 15 leads failed to find email
* **Refund**: 15 failed leads refunded
* **Final cost**: Only charged for 85 verified leads

### 3. Phone Number Billing

If you enable phone enrichment, the same upfront + refund model applies.

**Example with phones:**

* Request 100 leads with phone enrichment
* Upfront charge: 100 leads × (email + phone cost)
* Results: 85 emails found, 70 phones found
* **Refund**: Credits refunded for failed emails and missing phones
* **Final cost**: Only pay for successfully enriched data (85 emails + 70 phones)

## Credit Balance

### Viewing Your Balance

Your credit balance is always visible in the sidebar:

* **Starter/Pro/Growth Plans**: Monthly credit allocation
* **Top-up credits**: Purchased separately, never expire

### Top-up Credits

Need more credits? Purchase additional credits in bulk packages.

**Pricing**: Check your subscription page for current rates. Bulk purchases often include significant discounts.

**Top-up credits**:

* ✅ **Never expire** (unlike monthly subscription credits)
* ✅ Rollover month to month indefinitely
* ✅ Used after monthly allowance
* ✅ Non-refundable (but unused credits stay in your account forever)

**Key difference**: Top-up credits are permanent additions to your account, while monthly subscription credits expire at the end of each billing period.

### Credit Usage Priority

Credits are used in this order:

1. **Monthly allowance** (resets each billing cycle)
2. **Top-up credits** (purchased separately)

## Cost Examples

**Note**: These examples use hypothetical pricing for illustration. Check your subscription page for actual credit costs.

### Example 1: Simple Email Search

* Search for 50 leads
* 45 successfully verified emails
* 5 failed
* **Cost**: Only charged for 45 verified leads (90% success rate)

### Example 2: CSV Upload with Phones

* Upload 200 contacts, request phones
* 170 emails verified, 150 phones found
* **Cost**: Charged for 170 email enrichments + 150 phone enrichments
* **Savings**: Refunded for 30 failed emails and 50 missing phones

### Example 3: LinkedIn-Only Search

* Search for 100 LinkedIn profiles (no email verification)
* All 100 profiles found
* **Cost**: LinkedIn-only searches cost significantly less than full email enrichment

*(LinkedIn-only searches are cheaper since they skip email verification)*

### Example 4: Related Search

* Main search finds 60/100 requested leads
* Related search automatically triggered for remaining 40
* Related search finds 35 more leads
* **Total cost**: Charged for 95 total verified leads

You're only charged for the 95 total verified leads, not the original 100 requested.

## Search Types & Costs

### FULL Search (Default)

**Standard credit cost per lead**

Delivers leads with verified email addresses. This is the standard search type for email outreach campaigns.

**What you get:**

* Verified, deliverable email address
* LinkedIn profile data
* Current job title and company
* Publicly available data on the internet (e.g. social media profiles)
* ✅ Only charged if email is verified

### LINKEDIN\_ONLY Search

**Reduced credit cost per lead**

Delivers LinkedIn profile data without email verification. Faster and cheaper, best for:

* LinkedIn outreach campaigns
* Market research
* Building prospect lists for later enrichment

**What you get:**

* LinkedIn profile URL and data
* Current job title and company
* Publicly available data on the internet (e.g. social media profiles)
* ✅ Charged once profile is found and validated

## Credit Refund Policy

### Automatic Refunds

You're automatically refunded for:

* Leads where no verified email was found
* Phone numbers not found (if phone enrichment enabled)

Refunds process immediately when the search completes.

### Manual Refunds

Email <support@gethyperscale.com> for refunds if:

* **Bounced emails**: Forward bounced email to us, we'll credit your account
* **Incorrect data**: If enriched data is clearly wrong, we'll investigate and refund
* **Technical issues**: If our system errors caused failed enrichments

We aim to process manual refunds within 24-48 hours.

### Non-Refundable

* Top-up credit purchases (though unused credits remain in your account)
* Subscription fees
* Successfully enriched leads (even if you don't use them)

## Monthly Allowance

### Starter Plan

* Monthly: 1K credits/mo | Annual: 12K credits/yr
* Resets on billing date
* **Unused credits expire** at the end of each billing cycle
* Does NOT rollover to next month
* Can purchase top-ups for more (which never expire)

### Pro Plan

* Monthly: 5K credits/mo | Annual: 60K credits/yr
* Resets on billing date
* **Unused credits expire** at the end of each billing cycle
* Does NOT rollover to next month
* Can purchase top-ups for more (which never expire)

### Growth Plan

* Monthly: 50K credits/mo | Annual: 600K credits/yr
* Resets on billing date
* **Unused credits expire** at the end of each billing cycle
* Does NOT rollover to next month
* Can purchase top-ups for more (which never expire)

**Important**: Your monthly credit allowance is "use it or lose it" - any unused credits from your subscription expire when your billing cycle renews. Only top-up credits (purchased separately) carry over indefinitely.

## Fair Use Policy

To maintain service quality, reasonable limits apply per search and account. For high-volume usage, contact <support@gethyperscale.com>.

**Pro tip**: Use monthly allowance for regular prospecting, purchase top-ups for one-time campaigns or busy months. Top-ups also act as "insurance" - they never expire, so you can build up a credit reserve for future needs.

## How to Save Credits

### 1. Start with Small Tests

Run 5-10 lead searches to test:

* Are the leads relevant? You can preview results first.
* Is the email accuracy acceptable?
* Are you targeting the right roles/companies?

Iterate until satisfied, then scale up.

### 2. Use Precise Targeting

More specific searches = higher match rate = fewer wasted credits.

**Better**: "CTO; AI; San Francisco" **Worse**: "Finance people in tech"

### 3. Include LinkedIn URLs

If you have LinkedIn URLs (e.g., from your own research), include them in Manual or CSV uploads. This dramatically improves match accuracy.

### 4. Skip Phone Enrichment Unless Needed

Phone enrichment costs significantly more per lead. Only enable if you're doing cold calling or multi-channel outreach.

### 5. Use LinkedIn-Only for Research

If you only need profile data (not emails), use LinkedIn-Only search type for substantially fewer credits per lead.

### 6. Avoid Duplicate Searches

Hyperscale deduplicates automatically, but searching the same criteria twice wastes your effort.

## Transparency Commitment

We believe in transparent pricing:

* ✅ No hidden fees
* ✅ Only pay for verified data
* ✅ Real-time credit usage tracking
* ✅ Automatic refunds for failures
* ✅ Manual refunds for bounced emails

# Referral Program

Hyperscale has a built-in referral program that lets you earn recurring commissions by sharing Hyperscale with colleagues, friends, and your network.

## How It Works

1. **Get your referral link** — Open the referral widget inside the Hyperscale app (look for the gift icon in the bottom-right corner of your dashboard).
2. **Share it** — Send the link to anyone who would benefit from Hyperscale. Share it via email, LinkedIn, Slack, or wherever you connect with people.
3. **Earn commissions** — When someone signs up through your link and subscribes to a paid plan, you earn a recurring commission on their subscription for as long as they remain a paying customer.

## Earnings

* **Commission rate**: You earn a percentage of every payment made by users you refer — paid out monthly.
* **Recurring**: Your commission continues for the lifetime of the referred customer's subscription. The longer they stay, the more you earn.

## What Referred Users Get

People who sign up through your referral link automatically receive a **discount on their subscription**. The discount is applied at checkout — no coupon code needed.

## Tracking & Payouts

You can view your referral stats — clicks, signups, and earnings — directly inside the referral widget in your Hyperscale dashboard. Payouts are handled automatically.

## Tips for Getting Referrals

* **Share after a win** — Just closed a deal using Hyperscale leads? That's the perfect moment to tell a peer about it.
* **Post your link on LinkedIn** — A short post about your outreach results with your referral link can go a long way.
* **Include it in your email signature** — A subtle "Try Hyperscale" link in your signature generates passive referrals over time.
* **Tell your sales team** — If Hyperscale is working for you, your teammates will want it too.

## FAQ

**Do I need a paid plan to refer others?**\
No. Any Hyperscale user can share their referral link, regardless of plan.

**Is there a limit on how many people I can refer?**\
No limit. Refer as many people as you like — each one earns you commission.

**When do I get paid?**\
Commissions are paid out monthly. You can track pending and paid earnings in the referral widget.

**What if someone signs up but doesn't subscribe right away?**\
Your referral link uses cookie-based attribution. As long as the referred user subscribes within the attribution window, you'll receive credit.

# How does message generation work?

How Hyperscale uses AI and your prospect's public profile data to draft personalized outbound messages.

Hyperscale pairs proprietary models with frontier large language models from leading AI labs to draft a personalized message for every prospect in a campaign.

For each lead, the system:

* Gathers public profile data — headline, role, company, recent activity, summary
* Prompts the model with that context plus your campaign brief
* Drafts a message tailored to that specific prospect

The system also adapts to you over time. As you edit drafts before they send, and as we see which messages get replies, your campaigns sound more like you and convert better.

If you want to dial in the tone before you launch, see [How to Draft Emails](/start-campaigns/start-a-campaign/how-to-draft-emails).

**You can always edit, rewrite, or skip any draft before it sends — see** [Can I control the messages I send out?](/faq/can-i-control-the-messages-i-send)**.**

# Can I control the messages I send out?

Yes — you can review, edit, rewrite, or skip every draft before it sends, and pause a campaign at any time.

Yes. Nothing leaves your account without your say-so by default.

For every campaign, you can:

* Review every drafted message before it goes out
* Edit or rewrite any draft inline
* Skip a draft entirely if it isn't a fit
* Deactivate the whole campaign at any time

If you'd rather review in batches than one-by-one, see [Manage Campaigns](/start-campaigns/manage-campaigns) for the bulk-review workflow.

**You stay in the loop on every send. If something looks off, pause the campaign and email** [**support@gethyperscale.com**](mailto:support@gethyperscale.com) **— we'll help you adjust the prompt or the audience.**

# How are credits counted in my subscription?

Credits are charged when a lead is verified, a message is personalized, and a message is sent — never for failed lookups or duplicates.

Credits are consumed at three points:

* A lead is successfully **found and verified** (LinkedIn profile + verified business email)
* A message is **personalized** for that lead by our AI
* A message is **sent**

Each verified lead typically includes the full public profile — headline, role, company, location, education and work history — plus the work email and a confidence score for that email.

**You are never charged for:**

* ❌ Leads where no email was found
* ❌ Leads that failed verification
* ❌ Duplicates (we deduplicate automatically)
* ❌ Bounced emails (forward the bounce to <support@gethyperscale.com> and we'll credit your account)

For full pricing tables, phone-number enrichment costs, and how rollover credits work, see [Credits & Pricing](/account-settings/credits-and-pricing).

# How do I avoid landing in spam?

The single biggest lever for inbox placement is correct email authentication on your sending domain — DKIM, DMARC, and SPF.

Inbox placement comes down to three things, in order of impact:

1. **Email authentication on your sending domain.** DKIM, DMARC, and SPF have to be set up correctly. See [How to authenticate email (DKIM, DMARC, SPF)](/email-best-practices/how-to-authenticate-email-dkim-dmarc-spf).
2. **Your domain's sending reputation.** New domains start with no reputation; established business domains start strong. If you're sending from a fresh domain, ramp volume gradually — see [Warming Up New Email Addresses](/email-best-practices/warming-up-new-email-addresses).
3. **The content of the message itself.** Spam-trigger words, broken HTML, and overly templated copy all hurt. Our AI-drafted messages avoid the common pitfalls, but a quick scan before you send is worth it.

You may have seen other tools upsell "inbox rotation" or aggressive "warm-up" services. Those are gimmicks for tools that send poorly-authenticated mail at scale. If your authentication is correct and your copy isn't spammy, you don't need them.

For the full deliverability checklist, see [https://github.com/mana-labs/hyperscale-frontend/blob/gitbook/gitbook-docs/email-best-practices/README.md](https://github.com/mana-labs/hyperscale-frontend/blob/gitbook/gitbook-docs/email-best-practices/README.md "mention").

# Do you integrate with our CRM?

Yes — Hyperscale syncs verified leads to HubSpot and Close.io automatically, and you can export to CSV at any time.

Yes. Hyperscale syncs to:

* **HubSpot** — contacts, companies, and notes with enrichment data; deduped against your existing records
* **Close.io** — leads, companies, and notes with the full profile attached

Both connect via OAuth from Account Settings — no API keys to paste — and sync automatically once a search completes.

If your CRM isn't on that list, you can still get every lead in with a CSV export. Most CRMs (including Salesforce, Pipedrive, Attio) accept a CSV import. We're also happy to look at adding a new native integration if there's enough demand — email <support@gethyperscale.com>.

For the full integration walkthrough, see [CRM Integrations](/connect-accounts/crm-integrations).

# Is there a refund policy or minimum contract?

Subscriptions stay active until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund partial periods, but unused credits roll over.

There's no minimum contract — you can cancel at any time.

When you cancel:

* Your subscription stays active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for
* You won't be charged again
* Unused Top-up Credits continue to roll over
* Time and credits remaining on your subscription are **not refunded** for the unused portion of the period

We don't refund partial periods, but our support team works hard to help you get value from the time you've already paid for. If a campaign isn't producing the results you expected, email <support@gethyperscale.com> before cancelling — we can usually help.

For step-by-step cancellation instructions, see [Cancel Subscription](/account-settings/cancel-subscription).

# Why do I still get bounced emails?

I know this email address exists and all email verification service says it's valid, but why are none of my messages are getting through?

Despite validating the best possible contact details across multiple sources that go through additional layers of specialized email verification services, sent emails may still be bounced or rejected.

This can be due to one of more of the following reasons:

* You're trying to reach a valid email, but the company's email policy does not allow external email addresses unless whitelisted. This is common as a way for companies to reduce spam and especially common amongst companies who use Office 365.
* Your email domain reputation score is too low.
* You haven't properly set up your DMARC or SPF records for your domain. You can use a tool like [this](https://easydmarc.com/tools/spf-lookup) to check. Refer to [How to authenticate email (DKIM, DMARC, SPF)](/email-best-practices/how-to-authenticate-email-dkim-dmarc-spf)for further instructions.
* The person just left the company, and based on all publicly available records has not joined a new company. The email you have is still the most valid contact detail across all data sources.

**If you receive any bounces, simply forward the email to <support@gethyperscale.com> and we'll credit your account for that lead.**
